We had a really nice stay at Sandy lodge. The owner and his father in law were really nice and friendly and breakfast filled us up everyday Thank you

The owner and other staff are all very friendly, helpful and hard working, keeping the rooms and grounds in great shape. Passana speaks English very well and is a lovely guy to have a chat with. The meals (breakfast and dinner on set menu basis) were well cooked and presented, tasty, and good value. There are plans to increase the amount of rooms and restaurant offering in the future. The location is great for the beach, the lagoon and for kite-surfing of course. It's about a 20 minute ride into Kalpitiya for shops, but also plenty of kiosk-shops in walking distance for snacks, soft drinks etc. Also cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Overall it's a great spot, with loads of potential too!

The cabin I had was joined to another cabin on each side with air gaps between the two, particularly in the bathroom. This makes it easy to hear between cabins. I think this would not be too hard to rectify as the gaps shouldn't be necessary. Also the slatted wooden windows in the cabin can allow insects/mosquito to come in and could be netted. Hot water for the shower would be nice.

Persanna was a most welcoming host, him and his father in law did everything to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was included but we also ate most evenings and the food was excellent. We loved our cabana, it was very comfortable, spacious and I particularly loved the bathroom. We also had somewhere to sit outside.

Best place to spend before Christmas. The place is scenic, a beautiful area full of flora and fauna, close to the beach and to salty lakes. Breakfast and dinner are delicious. Prasanna is a wonderful person and host. Totally recommend. Support the local entrepreneur in Sri lanka, recently since the russian-ukrainian war they are struggling to keep their jobs due to an overpopulation of Russians in Sri Lanka!

Every place needs improvement always.

We really liked this accommodation. Although it is not right on the sea, the sand made it feel like it. The owner is very helpful, always trying to help us and asking if everything was okay. He arranged a dolphin watching trip for us, which was one of the most amazing moments in all of Sri Lanka.
