Casa Terra Hostel

From the owners to the volunteers, everyone is incredibly nice. You feel like you're staying with friends in a very relaxed environment. Everything is clean and the mattress is great. Be prepared to stay longer than planned!

Motorbike noise comes in through the thin walls and wakes up a light sleeper like me. They start with first light and pass every 10-15 min

Really friendly hostel. Luis who runs it is incredibly nice and chill. Although it's not so close to the center of the town, you have a supermarket close by and to the center it's only like a 7 minute walk.

Nothing to complain. I stayed in the private rooms, which I was the first to stay so the place wasn't quite finished. No AC, but the fans were good enough and quiet.

Everyone was super-friendly, helpful, and kind. It was easy to meet fellow travelers. The hostel also is not a party hostel, so it was nice not to have to worry about someone coming in drunk at 2 a.m. and urinating or puking in the corner.

There were carpenter ants in the room where I stayed, and while they mostly left me alone, knowing they were there (and crawling on my bedframe) made it difficult to sleep well. Other than that, the stairs to get to the upper floor were high enough that it made navigating them awkward.

When I arrived, my intention was to stay only 2 nights. Finally, I stayed longer … almost one month. Andre, Cha and Luis was amazing hosts and make you feel like you are at home ! You can see monkeys and iguana during your stay so it’s really cool. It’s important to tell you it’s a basic hostal so don’t have a really high expectation! The price worth it

The only change I’ll do, they need to change the pillows, after one month I have some neck issue !!
