My private room was excellent! Super beautiful and comfortable hostel.

There were only two other guests at that time, so not really social for a hostel. Also the English level of the staff could be a little better

Very nice interior with a modern touch, chill vibe, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Would definitely come back!

The staff were very nice. We particularly liked the tuk tuk driver who took us all over the place and made recommendations. The gardens are lovely and our bed was very comfortable/

It was a long walk to the city centre. Some of the facilities needed a little bit of upgrading.

Room was a good size and very clean - we had private room with bathroom attatched

Would have expected a bit more given the price point, breakfast very slow and quality not brilliant , and we had to re-explain to staff our breakfast was already paid for.

It is absolutely stunning with a nice pool. If you have a private room you will have a comfortabel stay

The dorms are not great. It has no AC and only 2 vans for the dorm so it stays HOT. I was not able to sleep properly. Curtains would be nice, as Well as a rack on the top bunk beds so you cannot fall out+the beds make A LOT of noice. Overal I stayed 3 nights, wishing i hadnt booked for so long… slept badly. Also there are only 2 toilets for all the dorms, which are in the shower. So i ended up being desperate searching for a loo while people were taking long showers.

This place is the biggest SCAM and waste of money. I don’t usually review but for the price, this place is shocking! I booked two nights but will not return for the second. Most of the room was is dirty. It is much more outdated in real life than the photos so don’t trust them. The bathroom is only accessible by exiting the room and you have to walk across a wooden floor that is not level or flat where I rolled my ankle. The bathroom didn’t even have soap to wash your hands! When I asked the people that worked there they said it wasn’t included in the accommodation but would find some anyway. For the price, this is so unacceptable not to mention so unhygienic! The bathroom was also very dirty and wet, I had to ask for a towel/mat to dry the floor of the bathroom. Theres lots of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets. The room is super hot, while there are fans not all of the beds have access to a fan so if you are lucky MAYBE you won’t have to sweat all night. The hostel is really far away from everything and tuk tuks will scam you. The service here was not good. They didn’t speak adequate English - not enough to adjust a reservation. Even beyond the miscommunication it seemed like the people at reception weren’t even able to adjust a reservation themselves. If this place was cheaper than of course expectations would be lower. But for this price, these shortcomings are unacceptable. The reception even said they would talk to their superiors to refund me for my second night that I didn’t wish to stay which was incredibly misleading as they didn’t. All the communication with the management of the hostel has been so far from respectful and friendly! After travelling through Sri Lanka over the past two weeks this hostel has been the most disappointing.
