Aurora Queen Resort Igloos

We felt very welcome from the moment we walked into the main building. The owners were great hosts. We ate at the restaurant on site both nights and our meals were exceptional. The igloos surpassed our expectations. Elegant and cosy. We were lucky to see the northern lights laying in bed!

We thought the sauna should have been included in your booking.

It was an awesome experience at the Aurora Queen! The Igloos were beautiful and well maintained and the surroundings are absolutely amazing! But the deal breaker was really Pasi and Nina and the entire staff. From the time we started planning the trip Nina was most helpful and obliging with giving advice and accommodating our requests. During the stay they were always smiling and offering help whenever they see a need. They were also very proactive to advice and suggest programmes so the entire stay was filled with different experiences. Of course the icing on the cake was the privilege of viewing the aurora lights from within the igloo. We were fortunate to have a wonderful display of the northern lights on 2 of the nights. The pictures we took from inside the igloo were so amazing our friends didn’t believe we could enjoy it inside the toasty igloos! If I were to visit Ivalo again I would definitely stay here again!

The hosts, the location, the views, the coziness

- Igloos were nice - Nina & parsi were extremely warm & helpful - It was very kind of Parsi to drop us to nearby Bus stop - Breakfast spread was delicious

- We wanted room to be more warmer & heated up - You can keep souvenir shop in your property so ppl can buy local items from Saariselka - Wanted igloo to be more spacious - I got proper hot water in bathroom but after few minutes when my wife went for shower it was not that hot to have bath. Its important that water flows continuously hot from showers for 2 ppl to bath comfortably because outside conditions are very extremely cold - There should be some alarm system to wake up ppl during night when aurora lights are visible

The igloos are exactly what they look like in the pictures, the main restaurant area is also great and v cosy with really nice food. The hotel is also only 15mins away from a ski resort, snow mobile hire and husky sleigh rides so loads to do. 10/10 holiday would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Lapland.
