Aurora Queen Resort Igloos

The design of the igloo and the wonderful view, the friendly staff, the excellent food, the overall resort is perfect (not too big so that you have the impression to be the only guest there🙂) We had a wonderful snowmobile tour and Northern Lights tour - thank you, Bjoörn!!!

If you are looking for a private exclusive yet familiar and super cozy retreat, this is THE ONE!! The igloos are simply gorgeous and one night we were granted the best Northern Lights we could imagine - an unforgettable glowing night sky directly viewable from our bed when looking through the huge igloo glass windows around and above us. The restaurant with its super cozy atmosphere and fireplace also was a real highlight, breakfast and meals delicious. It is also the „go-to“ place for a cozy hot drink after an excursion out in the cold. The staff is super friendly and helpful (thanx Henna, for all your help and numerous cappuccinos 😊!!) We took part in several activities the hotel offered: - Riding with the huskies (do it if you can!! It’s simply the best if you are in for an adventure!! It‘s a really thrilling ride , and you get to steer your own 2-person husky sledge pulled by 6 eager huskies through beautiful nature) - Snow-mobiling (also hugely recommended!! Beautiful nature!). On all activities you never go in big groups but just with very few people, very appreciated. - Aurora Hunting in minivan: at first we thought: is this really necessary? Or wouldn’t it be enough to view (hopefully occurring) Auroras from the igloo? But during our 4 night stay 2 nights were predicted to be pretty cloudy in the resort area, thus we took 2 tours and the guides took us to remote scenic places further North/ West where the skies were open and we got to see the lights!! - Snowshoeing: as the resort is surrounded by beautiful nature, this was also a great activity that we recommend not to miss A very very special thanks to the couple owning the hotel - both Nina and Pasi were super kind, helpful and flexible (us joining Northern Lights minibus tour one night last minute) and made this stay simply unforgettable - we felt like being among friends! And also to the great guides Björn& AnneMarie!

The staff was very friendly and the owner of the resort was very friendly, and also the owner of the place offered us , other places to spend a special time.

A big THANK YOU to the entire AQ team. They were all too kind, very attentive and caring and made our stay an awesome experience. The igloos are great: very cozy, well equipped with stylish interior design and offer fantastic view. Compliments as well to the chefs. The food was amazing and we fell in love with the homemade bread. We had a lot of fun and unforgettable moments on our excursions: husky safari, snowmobile tour and aurora hunting all with nice and caring tour guides. We plan to come back and stay for more days in this winter wonderland :)

AQ Resort exceeded my expectations in every way. The hosting and reception were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food was a standout, truly amazing. The location and activities provided a perfect balance for a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The repetition of a very restricted lunch and dinner menu each day was a drawback. It would have been more pleasant to have a broader range of dining options for a more diverse and satisfying culinary experience.

This resort was more than our expectations. It’s not only for the cozy and wonderful igloo, but also every single requirement we asked. We travel with a kid and an old lady. Nina, Pasi, Hanna and everyone in the resort took care of us very well. We didn’t drive by ourselves, but the resort arranged the transportation for us and the driver was so kind and helpful. Btw, the food was the most delicious in Finland. Many thanks to AQ. We will definitely visit again.

Most beautiful stay of our life. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Nina & Pasi are wonderful hosts, extremely professional. Would love to come back.
