Ardencote

Warm welcome, great room - clean, large and good temperature. I love to be able to open a window, so I appreciated this too. There is a lovely spa/swimming pool. It's a beautiful place to stay.

Breakfast was ok, but I'd finished and left before anyone asked me about the promised cup of tea, but its a work stay so I wasn't being leisurely. No complaints really, its a lovely place to stay and I got a great rate.

Lovely property in a great location. We love to play the golf course. Room was lovely and clean and quiet until the party started by the pool. Went to Reception and they found a room in the opposite corridor and although you could still hear the music it was nothing like it was. We have stayed many times and we have never had a problem with noise. Staff in the bar area were friendly and helpful.

Tea and coffee at breakfast were served in large vacuum flasks. Some staff could be more friendly.

Hotel is set in beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious & looked over the golf course. All staff friendly, polite & helpful. Good variety of food for breakfast.

Dinner - some expensive meals & not always that filling but were described as 'Larger plates". We are not big eaters so other people would be leaving the Brasserie hungry.

A fantastic large courtyard room with quality finishes throughout. Great pool facilities. Very friendly staff on reception and at the leisure reception. Good breakfast. I enjoyed the grounds, perfect for an outdoor drink.

A wider range on the bar food menu and a later service for bar food would be great. Also room service tray charge of £10 was a little pricey.

The scenery

The door was hard to open looked like an old basic room nothing fancy. Pillows awful. Noise golfers outside windows Sunday morning before 7 and ducks

Staff friendly, facilities great. Brought grandson and he was upset to leave

Nice location. Breakfast was nice.

Staff not very attentive - tried to ring reception five times but cut off after two rings. Staff gave minimum information when asked for help. No water in the room. Unable to access room service - menu but no information on how or where to order. Plumbing made horrendous screeching noise when running bath which was loud enough to wake the whole hotel. TV in room didn't work - remote not working.
