Amada Colossos Resort

Hotel and grounds were great, cleanliness was fabulous. Beds were extremely comfortable. We loved that there were adults only sections in pool area, restaurant and lobby bar. In the most part all of your staff worked extremely hard and kept things running smoothly. I’d like to send particular praise to Maria in the Kafenion bar, she was always happy and smiling and provided fabulous service and with Mario beside her, they made a great team in everything they did. Linda, from housekeeping on floor 7 was lovely and did a great job too. The staff in the Asian a la carte made my birthday a great night and couldn’t do enough for us. We loved it in there. They ensured the right wine which we preferred, was provided and all of our food was fabulous too. Definitely recommend this one to anyone staying. We were not as impressed with the Greek and Italian a la cartes, as a vegetarian I had hoped for vegetable moussaka as a main but at 7pm arrival was told it was finished! I had to opt for the only other option which some mushroom dish which was covered in mustard. Not great by any means. We felt that the ambience was not as good in these 2 a la carted and the staff were nowhere near as attentive; and when topping up the wine filled our glassed with a totally different wine, which we didn’t like. This did happen in the main buffet restaurant once or twice too. Not all of the staff checked with us to see which wine we were actually already drinking. I was so disappointed that the beach bar shut so early (5pm) given that the sunniest part of the day was late afternoon / early evening and people naturally migrated to the late sunshine to find no bar open after 5pm. On one occasion, I was served at the beach bar at 4.45 and ordered 2 beers and 2 cocktails for our party of four, to be reprimanded by the barman saying he had to close at 5 and there were other people behind me to be served. I had patiently waited in line only to be told off. I did suggest taking 4 beers if it made it easier for him and said this several times - but he carried on making my original order as requested but also kept complaining about it. However, he still managed to complete all the orders for the remaining queue before the shutters came down on the bar at 4.55pm (before anyone else had chance to turn up for a drink). There were a few who turned up and found it had closed before time. Another issue we found was that when we had the stormy days, the lobby bar wasn’t opened up as a contingency and people were therefore piled into all of the open indoor areas and were sitting on the floor or on the cushions which had been brought in from the outdoor seating. One chap asked customer services if they could open the bar early and was informed it was not possible. It was chaos, and so on the next rainy day, we took ourselves out for the day as we couldn’t bear to go through that disorder again - the hotel seemed to descend from 5* to 2* when it rained.

We've had another superb holiday at this great hotel and resort. Special thanks go to captain Maria Iska for making us feel sooo welcome at the main restaurant and for all her wonderful help with improving my speaking of the Greek language. It's also been lovely to chat with Maria's colleagues: captain Maria Kouloumprake, sou maitre Polimnia Karakatsani, chef Konstantinos Vasileiou, waiter Kiriakos Deligiannakis, waitress Anna Koyfaki, captain Vasillis Foyrtinas, hostesses Panagiota and Irina, and assistant FB Mickalis. First class hotel, immaculately clean, excellent food and staff unfailingly friendly and helpful. However as an older couple we would have appreciated a ‘quiet’ area. There was music playing practically all day wherever we went. Pool, beach, restaurant, adult bar all had continuous music. We had a room overlooking the main bar so obviously music from there from first thing until evening. We do like a quiet time for some of the day but unfortunately there wasn’t anywhere we could escape to. Overall a really good hotel but not for us.

We do not normally return to the same hotel but we have stayed in the Amanda Collossus Resort twice this year . The main reason we have returned is because of the friendliness of the staff across the hotel. This is particularly apparent in all of the restaurants where we are always made to feel so welcome as well as thoroughly enjoying the food. We particularly want to mention Nicos and Christina in the Greek restaurant, Mr Tasso in the Italian restaurant and Vasilios in the Asian restaurant who all made our holiday so special. Thanks and plaudits go to Maria and Polymnia whose daily coordination of the main buffet restaurant is amazing considering the numbers of diners every day. A big thank you must also go to our executive chef who works tirelessly to ensure the quality and presentation of the food was nothing less than excellent. Senior management were always visible throughout the hotel, Michalis was extremely friendly, always having time for a chat and always welcomed feedback on our stay.

From checking in to checking out this hotel did not disappoint. Late arrival, once allocated our room, some snacks, sandwiches and water were placed in mini bar. The rooms are spacious and clean as well as the communal areas within the hotel. Staff are polite and courteous and always pleasent to serve you. A special mention for Eva in the executive lounge as she seemed like she was our personal waitress each day and always had a smile. The food was first class in all of the restaurants, our favourite was the Asian, the snack bar also provided a nice view of the beach and great lace to unwind, Chill out and watch the world go by. Pool was a little cold but the weather was lovely so didn't take long to warm through. Each of the bars had plenty of choice and served with a smile, always happy to serve. Big thanks to Nicole for her assistance in helping with my partners requests as she made sure our needs were fully met for the holiday, also nice to meet in person. All in all a great hotel, clean and very friendly staff ensured we would love to come back lovely Rhodes to sample their hospitality once again.

We were at this hotel from 1st to 11th October and all I have to say is wow This is by far the best family friendly hotel I’ve ever been to and staff are so friendly and welcoming - food was amazing (and plenty for my now husbands picky eating) We got married here on 8th October and all I can say is that it was super organized - Michalis who dealt with our wedding was super helpful and was always available to contact when we stayed in the hotel the wedding ceremony and reception ran super smoothly with a little bit of a gap between ceremony and reception for our photos - unfortunately trip advisor won’t let me add any photos of the day As we got married we had loads of family we sat with most nights (16+ of us) we always managed to get a table together which they sorted for us and always managed to get a table either inside or outside at the adults only bar There were activities going on all day and there was some really good entertainment on an evening I would 100% stay at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel for anyone getting married abroad and would like to thank every single member of staff I interacted with whilst here

Overall hotel was good. Food was the best bit, hotel clean and large pool. But not a 5* for many reasons. Ants in room, teas and coffees almost never filled up, sunbeds on beach all broken, guest relations don’t have a clue about anything, app doesn’t work to book restaurants, toilet and shower doors see through in the rooms. But the worst has to be this next one. My partner became ill with what we thought was food poisoning 2 nights before we were due to leave (we thought this because we hadn’t heard anything of gastroenteritis at the hotel in at least a couple of months). So she stayed in the room and I went down to the restaurant by myself for dinner and wanted to take a couple of bread rolls back up for her. I asked one of the women (can’t remember her name, blonde, looks like she’d rather be anywhere else but there) working there if this would be okay and she said no we don’t do that. I explained my partner was ill so she can’t come down to eat and she told me I’d have to pay for room service if I wanted food. I mean, it’s only 2 bread rolls? She said she’d get her manager and never bothered. I had to speak to 3 other people before I could get it sorted. Fast forward to our flight home, where I suddenly became violently ill. Now I know it’s not been food poisoning and it’s most likely norovirus or something similar. So once we landed I thought I’d better inform the hotel of this so they can make an effort to stop the spread. The email I got back actually shocked me. Their response was along the lines of “uh well you didn’t call a doctor so clearly it’s a you issue”. So that’s what I get for trying to help out. Now there’s been a spread and several people are falling ill, so, Sophia - quality manager, is it still a personal health issue?

Love this hotel that much we have been 3 times in the last 18 months. The staff are lovely and friendly, great choice of food (and I am fussy), rooms suited us perfectly. We came to relax and chill and we certainly did that. Hoping to come again in 2026 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

Amazing hotel! Excellent food and hospitality. The pool and the wsterslides are perfect for children. Very recommended. Cant wait to make my next visit there!
