The Townhouse Central York

Beautifully clean and warm room in a lovely townhouse. The twin beds were really comfortable and it was great to have a kettle and fridge in the room. The host, Peter, was very friendly and welcoming and clearly takes great care of the property. We stayed over Easter and it was a nice touch leaving a little chocolate egg for each of us alongside the biscuits on the tea/coffee tray. There was a Co-op conveniently located right near the property for any supplies, and it was an easy walk to get into the heart of the city and see the sights of York. Peter arranged an electronic permit for us to park in the street right near the house and there were plenty of spaces available when we arrived. The shared bathroom was kept clean throughout our stay and had a fantastic shower (also a bath, but we didn't use this). I would definitely recommend the property and I'd stay here if I visited York again.

I found it challenging sharing a bathroom with visitors in another room, as it wasn't always available when I wanted to use it, but as we were out a lot of the time it didn't impact our enjoyment of the stay. Also, there were a few creaky floorboards that made it difficult to creep around the room and not disturb my friend when I woke up much earlier than she did, but again this wasn't an issue that affected how much we enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic stay in York great city full of history and great night life. Our hotel was right in the middle of the city. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the townhouse great place

Not a lot

Everything was great! The location is close to town but in a calm part of town! 😊

I didn't mind, but it might be good to know that it is two flights of narrow stair up so elderly people with a lot of luggage will struggle. The shower was a bit tricky at times though 😅

It's a beautiful house. Warm + comfortable , well maintained.

Brilliant Location and the Owner was in constant communication to ensure our stay was nice. Parking was easy and free. House was stunning, nicely decorated and very characterfull.

Bathroom got a bit congested at times and the plug disappeared the second day but never asked the owner as it was very late at night and didnt want to disturb. WiFi signal was low. Expensive but what do you expect for York.
