Such a lovely family!

Our stay at Green Chromide was truly unforgettable. The bungalow was just as beautiful as in the pictures—comfortable, clean, and located right at the edge of the river. Dining and relaxing with the amazing river view, surrounded by the sounds of cicadas, made for such a peaceful and serene experience. The hammocks and beautiful fairy lights around the property added a magical touch to the atmosphere. What made the experience even more exceptional was the hospitality. Sunaina and her family were the perfect hosts, going above and beyond in every way to make our stay special. They helped us arrange everything from tuk-tuks to boat rides across canals, train bookings, and day trips & food when needed ensuring we had a seamless experience. The homemade food was delicious, a true highlight of our visit. Sunaina also recommended local dining spots like Jai Javan & Dill Kush, ware also another fantastic food experience! It felt like we were treated as good friends or family, and the care and effort they put into making us feel at home made the entire stay unique and memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming experience on Munroe Island!

We stayed in the cabin pod - the bedroom area was a little smaller than I had originally thought it would be but it had everything you needed for a short stay. The pod was situated in a garden along side one of the many canals in the area - it was very quiet and peaceful for pure relaxation. The family kindly organised a sunrise canoe trip which was one of the highlights of our Kerala trip. What sets this place apart from many places is the warmth from the family, who genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay with them

It would have been helpful to have hooks in the pod so you have somewhere to hang your clothes.

Everything was perfect, great family, awesome spot and delicious handmade cook. Even had the chance to get a free and improvised cooking lessons in the garden 😋🧑‍🍳

Our stay in this wooden house by the river was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene riverside location, it offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, making every morning a delight with breathtaking views. We had a wonderful stay at the Green Chromide Homestay. We were warmly welcomed by the host family😊🌸 We immediately felt at home. The room was very large and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the view of the river was a dream. The family looked after us very lovingly and supported and helped us with our plans. We really enjoyed talking to the family🥰The food was fabulous and the view of the river was wonderful. We will definitely come back and can recommend this accommodation to everyone. Thank you very much for the unforgettable time.🙏❤️

We stayed in the larger cabin and had 4 wonderful nights here recently. Our hosts were so incredibly friendly, generous, kind and attentive in everything and were so responsive on WhatsApp, which was very helpful. It was fabulous to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the river. There was nothing much to do much chill, which we loved! We did enjoy a sunset canoe ride and we hired bikes too to explore the island. Highly recommend this place as it was the perfect break away. The Buttercup restaurant was a few minutes walk away, which we enjoyed for a Thali lunch on a couple of days too.

Be mindful that it is a very quiet little village - some will love that and others won't! Not much else going on but that is part of the charm of it in my opinion.
