Casa Menezes - A Heritage Goan Homestay

We loved our stay here. Beautiful house and staff are super friendly. The highlight was definitely the traditional goan dinner we had. Delicious!

A beautiful old heritage house with all modern facilities not too far from the city but amidst lush greenery! The host were exceptional, provided us with tips and suggestions and patiently answered our questions. Highly recommended!

I wanted to spend the last 2 days of my travels throughout India in a typical Portuguese house and this one was truly wonderful. This big family house is set in the countryside and is a good getaway from all the hussle and bussle and enjoy some calm. Situated in between the Old and New Goa, it's a short and easy ride to get to both by cab. The owner David and his wife are very helpful, he can tell a lot about the history of this house, area and India. The rooms are spacious and with lovely antique furnitures and outside verandas to find relaxing time to read a book. It has a swimming pool across the road for a good dip at the end of the day and the restaurant has very good food and lovely staff. Also they have big plans to bring it to an even higher level and most guests are recurring guests which says a lot.

It was very clean. The Chef David was very gentle and helpness. He had always good ideas,to plan the day.

Loved the building - beautiful old Portuguese house with heritage features. Our balcony was stunning. David and Nicole were very friendly and welcoming giving us lots of advice about places to go. Food was delicious.

Everything was great. I did message via Booking.com a few times before we arrived and had no response, but that’s all.

Value for money

Fantastic old house, comfortable bed, good showers, authentic breakfasts and lovely people. If you can spare a few extra quid, consider the upstairs rooms with balcony as they are fantastic

All good. Obviously a bit isolated so consider scooter hire from round the corner(Vailankanni) at 5£/ day for good automatic 2wheel Indian Vespa

David and his team were so helpful during our stay. Lovely heritage building, spacious balcony and lovely pool to relax next To. All the food was fresh.

Beautiful Portuguese style home. A respite from the city. A good place to decompress. Thanks to their driver I enjoyed a whistle-stop tour of some of the highlights of Old Goa and Panjim on my first afternoon. Great places to visit.
