Casa Menezes - A Heritage Goan Homestay

Amazing, I travel to Goa often and have stayed at various hotels and resorts, Casa Menezes is by far the best experience I’ve had, I have recommended all of my friends if they travel to Goa to try out the heritage stay.

I used the bikes to cycle around the local area, very serene experience. However, the bikes need a little tlc.

The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and it gave you a true taste of Goan heritage.the room was very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent…very Goan. You could order evening meals which again gave you a real taste of local delicacies.

It is a little way from local restaurants and attractions so you have to factor in a daily taxi bill if you do not have your own transport.

This is a perfect homestay. Beautiful property with really sweet hosts. The best part is they also own a small restaurant which makes it easier to get access to some tasty homemade food. The location is perfect too. 20 min from airport, 20 min from Panjim/Old Goa.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The host, David, and his staff made sure our trip was comfortable and memorable. It’s a beautiful place, away from the bustle of Goa, but still well-connected. I’ll definitely recommend it to everyone.

This is a beautiful and unique place run by the sweetest most welcoming family.

At the time I was there the pool was not accessible (this was mentioned on booking.com but I missed it, so totally my fault).

A lovely place to stay to experience local Goa in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent - tasty, variety, plenty - a real Goan breakfast. David and Nicole were perfect hosts and wanted you to experience their home and neighbourhood. They went out of their way to help in any way possible Borrowed bikes from them to go to Bambolim beach. Time to be able to unwind, cycling to lake to bird watch, visit bakery and walk to local restaurant Edwards Yard.

If possible select deluxe room with balcony/terrace. A little off beaten track but well worth visiting.

A lot of building work going on, made comparison with photos on booking.com difficult!

We loved that Casa Menezes was an historic Portuguese house and that it was tucked away in a village in a quiet rural setting. David and Nicole are most welcoming, have excellent knowledge about where to go, what to see and where to eat. The rooms are spacious and have a sitting area inside and on the verandah.

Not a negative but you will need a car or hire a taxi for travels elsewhere. David and Nicole have a list of reliable drivers from nearby villages to recommend and will arrange this service for you.

Fantastic stay, very warm welcome from Nicole and David. Nothing was too much trouble, they arranged a driver for us, who never let us down and was always available. A very good selection for breakfast that certainly gave a good start to the day. The room was large and so was the bed, the bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked a treat as it was very warm at night. David also suggested an itinerary, which was something we would of struggled without his help. This homestead is well recommended.
