Fabulous, a wonderful house in a paradisiacal environment, with an excellent host always available.

David runs an excellent establishment. He is very organised and sorted with his data and always willing to share. Their rooms are clean, comfortable and promptly serviced. A true homestay, they offer exceptional hospitality and the food from their kitchen is authentic, prepared from the heart and lovingly served. David is a reservoir of knowledge about Goa and an avid collector.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at David’s place in Goa, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, David and his family greeted me with such warmth and hospitality that I immediately felt at home. David went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, providing me with invaluable information about nearby attractions within minutes of my arrival. Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow! I can confidently say that the meals prepared by David’s family were the highlight of my trip. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and I found myself indulging in some of the best culinary delights I’ve ever tasted in Goa. The accommodations were equally impressive. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The entire house exuded a serene and welcoming atmosphere, and I encountered no issues throughout my stay. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend David’s place to anyone visiting Goa. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, you’re guaranteed a delightful experience. I, for one, am already planning my return trip with a larger group of friends. This is a quiet location in an attractive heritage building where we were looked after extremely well by Nicole, David and their excellent staff. Nothing was too much trouble and their attempts to ensure all our meals suited our western tastes were much appreciated. A major highlight was the abundance of bird life which has undoubtedly put the Batim area high up on our Indian holiday return visit list. Very highly recommended.

Internet connectivity has been very poor. Otherwise the home stay was perfectly alright

some more variety in the breakfast menu would have been better.

David, the host is very passionate and proud of his heritage. This is demonstrated by his sharing of the history and places of interest. He is a kind and helpful host. He drove us to the pharmacy and showed us around the area. David is very knowledgeable about all the sights and guides you with planning sightseeing for the day. We enjoyed walking around the village. The highlight was stopping at the local bakery where we picked up freshly baked bread. Appreciated the toiletries provided. We had dinner one evening. Food was excellent. Would highly recommend eating here. Thank you, David for your hospitality and for the recommendations for Kochi.

Our room was in the main building and as such meant going through the home, which was a little cluttered. Our family room was clean but it was dark and we missed not having access to a balcony/porch. Recommend getting room with access to the balcony or porch. Water is solar heated (yay!) so plenty of hot water in the evening/night but not always in the morning. Guests can adjust shower schedule if informed at check in. Because of the location out in the country there are mosquitoes at dusk and dawn. Mosquito repellent is a must. Installing window screens would add to the comfort.

Very beautiful Indo-Portuguese house, whose rooms face the courtyard. Very friendly staff and always ready to resolve any issue that may arise. Homemade and very varied breakfast. Home-cooked meals are possible on request. Very friendly hosts.

Lovely old family colonial home in quiet surroundings. David, the owner, was so helpful and welcoming. Local specialities for dinner and good breakfast. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
