"A gem of a pit stop for anyone hiking the Offa’s Dyke Trail"

Excellently stocked for anyone hiking. I arrived completely soaked after a day in the rain on the Offa’s Dyke Trail. Thanks to the washer, heaters, heating rack etc all my gear was thankfully in dry shape again by the morning, all the while I had an excellent night’s sleep. The view is to die for, and the hosts super kind and accommodating

The property was v quiet, comfortable with lovely views across the countryside. The hosts were helpful with promptly resolving a couple of issues.

As others mentioned the tv was quite small, really too small for the room and difficult to see from the sofa.

Was upgraded free of charge to the Red Kite Lodge on the same property. It was fabulous, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, large lounge/dining room/kitchen. Well appointed and nice and warm. Best thing was the fabulous views from the deck over the brecons.

"A pleasant stay at Barn End"

Very comfortable beds and great scenery. Easy check in and departure.

Fairly basic downstairs and TV didn’t work but as we were out and about it suited our needs.

"An idyllic, tranquil retreat, full of charm and character, in glorious countryside."

This place is a gem. Set in beautiful countryside with amazing views, the only sounds are the gentle clucking of chickens and the odd baa from resident sheep. Rustic, full of charm and character, well-appointed and generally lovely. The hosts are great too - unobtrusive but on hand if needed - and very friendly.

Being very remote, tv signals etc are a bit iffy. Not that it bothered us in the least.
