Aaron's Bothy

Aaron's Bothy is a great place to stay! Was very quiet, clean and had everything we needed to make our few days there absolutely perfect. The hosts were phenominal and we can't thank them enough for such a great experience!

Well placed and remarkably everything fitted into a relatively small space but didn't feel too small.

Shower/Bathroom was small but everything functioned.

The owners were lovely and helpful when we arrived. The kitchen was good.

The bothy was super warm, super comfy (your towels and bedlinen are the softest!) and the location is a perfect 10 minute walk into town. Really thankful for the 'snack starter kit' which kept me going for the four days I was there - and included Prosecco and a gift! Before you arrive, the hosts provide you with super helpful info and get back to your questions in double quick time. When you arrive at the house you are greeted with a fabulous smelling candle - so welcoming. And then you settle in and enjoy!

Everything was great, would have loved to take the armchair with me. I missed nothing and I really appreciated how me arriving later than expected was no problem. It was a real treat to find some fresh supplies in the fridge as I didn't have to worry about that first thing in the morning as it was my first day in the UK. I also liked the emphasis on environmental friendliness and the warm welcome.

Great location, less than 10 min walk into centre of Portree. Great host who was available for advice or assistance whenever we needed a d provided torches and candles as it was due to be very stormy and a power cut was possible. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, wifi was great, kitchen well set up and had everything

Lovely ,clean ,modern ,nice little touches like basic groceries and a bowl of fruit

Little niggles ,one window wouldn't fully shut and trees and shrubs overhang the property meaning at this time of the year lots of spiders ! Hard to find in the dark although they tried their best to guide us ,we got there in the end and lastly ,it is not a long walk into Portree but it is very steep! Hard work if you are old or unfit .

Cosy, warm, quiet and extremely well equipped. There was even food in the fridge and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Thank you.

The bothy is very comfortable and to our big surprise had a lovely kitchen. We often stay in holiday apartments and are used to trying to make things work with a random assortment of cooking equipment and blunt knives, so this was refreshing. Everything you need was there and everything in good shape and quality. The host even left us some fresh things like bread fruit and cheese and there were staples available like oil, salt, rice, pasta, etc.. The lovely kitchen was especially great, because Skye seems to be quite touristy so going to a pub would have required waiting time. Also just so comfortable to have a nice meal at home after a day of sightseeing. Location is excellent as well. Communication was easy.
