Luca is the most amazing host and the star of our holiday from picking us up from the station to his amazing restaurant recommendations. A truly wonderful person.

What an amazing apartment, the view is stunning the host Luca couldn’t do enough for us, he picked us up from the train station, he then explained everything about the apartment and the City of Como before taking us to the supermarket and bringing us back! Thank you Luca. We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in Como.

The only thing was the heat, at this time of year A/C would be an excellent addition but apart from that we had an amazing time here.

No air conditioning

Perfectly situated in a raised position in Como. You overlook Como from the outside Terrace. Luca our host meet us at the accommodation and gave us a full briefing of the apartment and Como area. Inside the apartment there is everything you need… a real home from home.

I without a doubt HIGHLY recommend aerie Esmeralda . It ticked all my boxes : 1. it felt very homely and comfortable 2. the view from the balcony is to die for , I doubt a better view of Como exists , we spent 5-6 hours outside everyday 3. the apartment is super clean , has every facility u could need AND MORE 4. it has two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms which is rare for this price , and a fully equipped kitchen and a huge living and dining room 5. I was worried it being Europe there might not be elevators but there was a well functioning one 6. we love balconies and finding such huge ones in Italy is so rare 7. the apartment the hugeee compared to the usual sizes but the number one reason I would recommend to stay there , the host - Luca might be one of the best people I will ever know , he was so SO SO gracious . He spent 2 hours to brief us about the apartment and tell us all the ins and out of lake Como , the best guide . Through out the stay whatever questions we had regarding the apartment or city , he was always so ready and welcoming to answer 24/7 . He is the warmest and most delightful person , he went as far as to make two rounds in the rain dropping my family at the train station due to our excessive luggage - it was a pity I missed his message when arriving because he offered to drop us at the apartment too . Luca thank you , we loved staying there and most of all meeting you - if you have to choose this airbnb over all else for the host - surely worth it .

- the only thing to consider is , the apartment is a 5 min downhill - uphill walk to the cathedral / downtown which wasn't a bother to us but incase anybody has issues with walking . - also we are from India so we are used to air conditioning in the summers and were so surprised to know it is rare in Italy . However we didn't have any problems with fans , in fact it was comfortable in the day and a bit chilly in the night with the fans on !

This is a beautiful property with an amazing host. The wrap-around balcony with views of both city and lake was hard to leave.

The wonderful owner met us on arrival at the train station with a wonderful smile, and it reminded me of meeting an uncle you haven't seen in a long time; his cheerful demure instantly made us feel at ease, and we knew we had booked the right place. He drove us up to the apartment, where he gave us a detailed tour and pointed out all the sites around the lake and the best options for different activities. Basic condiments, coffee pods and tea were provided. A lovely bottle of prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge to enjoy in the evening. This was easily the best host we have had. The Apartment is wonderful; It has a charm that matches the owner's presence. It was tucked away out of town and yet a short walk to the lake. A wonderful stay and well worth a 10.

Love the place and Luca went beyond the attention, what a great host, made us feel like family. Definitely will comeback to this place again, highly recommend

Aerie Esmeralda was a fantastic experience for us. It is walking distance to town centre, our host Luca was just wonderful. He picked us up from the train station, and dropped us there on our departure. The unit had everything (and more) that we required. It was very comfortable clean and had all amenities. A beautiful view of the town and Lake Como topped it off. You must stay here, it was amazing and we couldn't fault it. The third bedroom came in very handy for cases, etc, and a spare bed for my husband who wasnt well for 1 night! So convenient, roomy and well equipped.

Nothing not to like about this great accommodation.
