Clifford's Reach at Bluebridge Court with Free Parking

Excellently situated for a short and pleasant riverside walk into the historic centre, with many restaurants, pubs, cafes and corner shops just a short walk away. The linens were clean, the kitchen was relatively well-equipped, check-in was very easy, and the free parking was a blessing for someone like me who finds parallel parking in right-hand drive absolutely terrifying!

We checked in early but it was clear the vacuuming had not been done, with animal hair, food and dirt on the floors and furniture. It was nice to have a washing machine but the dryer function did not really work, so we had to hang-dry our clothes anyway. But the biggest complaint was that the property was very stingy with amenities — no soap, no shampoo, and only one roll of toilet paper for a seven night stay. For nearly 100 pound a night you expect a little more than the absolute bare minimum!

The apartment is a good size and layout. There is no parking on site but you are given a parking permit to park on the road. The apartment was warm considering how cold and wet York was on our stay. There was plenty of hot water for the large shower.

We found the apartment a little lacking based on other apartments we have stayed in around the same area of York. There was no milk, only a couple of sachets, so we had to go out and buy, most places we have stayed at have had a welcome pack containing at least milk, some have had wine and breakfast bits for your first night. It was lacking a coffee table in the lounge to put a cup or plate, we ended up using the spare bedding box as a table.

Everything you need for a stay in York. Apartment is well maintained with good facilities. Good location-15min walk to York centre. Easy parking. If you want something to eat I can recommend The Mason Arms approx 5 min walk away. Great beer, lovely food and great service.

The location was walkable to everything, the rooms were bright and airy and the kitchen was very well-equipped with clean, good quality cookware. The price was very fair compared to other available options.

A week before the stay, the scheduled payment was made through the Booking website, but a day before our stay, I received a message from the property that the booking was unpaid and they would sending me a link through email to make the payment. If I hadn't been paying attention, I could have paid twice. Water pressure in the shower is very low, and the toilet tank takes nearly 5 minutes to fill between flushes. The place was generally clean, but some items were in dire need of deep cleaning, such as the decorative blanket on the bed, the area rug in the living room, and the oven.

Traffic noise as on main road. But bedroom back of property so sleep not disturbed.

The location was fantastic. Easy to get to from main road and short walk to town with off road parking. Lovely apartment with secure gated access. Lovely kitchen with all the utensils you could need. Great information pack in apartment and great communication before arrival.

I personally found the bed very firm for my liking but other than that there was nothing else not to like
