Loved the size of the place, location, available space and general facilities. Hosts were super friendly and accommodated us putting a mattress on the floor of the main bedroom so our boys didn't have to share a bed. It was warm in middle of winter, the shower pressure was incredible! and it has a good-sized fridge and dining table. It's literally two to five mins walk from the centre, has off street parking and lots of outside space for lounging on couches to read when having downtime. Good sized bedrooms and beds. Also right beside a sports field down a quiet cul de sac, so we were able to have a good kick around as well. Lots of pool toys for those warmer days - incredibly the boys jumped into the pool despite the chill and had a good laugh with that. Proximity to cafes and restaurants is excellent.

We utterly failed to notice there is no cook top! Had brought our own mince and pasta to make bolognaise one night, and had to abandon that in favour of a local curry house - good news, the curry was fabulous and so were the hosts there - highly recommend the Indian Fusion restaurant on 54 Broadway, 15% discount with Hobbiton tickets. The only inside couch is in the main bedroom, but that was fine really as there are two outside under cover and during the day it was plenty warm enough to sit out there. Be aware, no freezer either - we kept our chiller packs in the bottom of the fridge and they didn't melt too much so were okay for the trip home.

Nice clean, comfortable and had good facilities. Quiet street and we didn't have any interaction with the hosts. Close to town, if the weather had been nicer we would have walked. The heat pump was good at heating the whole area. Good wifi connection.

Found bedroom 1 to be damp feeling, perhaps could benefit from a dehumidifier. Also found the bed was too hard for my liking & the dining room chairs cold do with some padding too.

It was brilliant. I arrived late evening in very poor weather and once I opened the lockbox to retrieve the key I found everything was beautifully laid out with clear instructions for accessing the wifi as well as house rules. It is beautifully furnished and set up well as a self-contained unit with a variety of features. (The washing machine was particularly helpful at that point in my travels!) When I saw Kate the following day she was friendly and welcoming.

It was very quiet and suited our needs.

Our bed was a bit too firm.

Hosts were very obliging when we asked to use a frypan and their freezer. Very handy to Hobbiton.

Not a lot of bench space in kitchen area.

Nice easy location, wasn't quite sure where to park
