Madeira Gems Apartments

The apartment (top floor - Esmeralda) was a perfect accommodation!!! Balcony, washer, spotlessly clean & supplied unit & kitchen. Elevator made life easier. So close to everything. Highly recommend

A bit difficult to regulate heating and were cold a couple nights until figured it out. A couple tea towels would have been nice but we enjoyed the dishwasher and washer.

It was close to the centre of Funchal and the relevant amenities we needed access to such as the supermarket and cafes etc

Very convenient location to the centre of Funchal. Quiet. Nearby excellent supermarket. Spacious balcony overlooking a beautiful garden with lovely cafe

There was some loud building noise in the property beside the apartment on the first day but the front reception were aware and very apologetic. The noise ceased after the first day.

Location was fantastic for all attractions and restaurants in the area. The apartment was a great space to relax and watch the world go by off the balcony. The kitchen was equipped to a good spec, including washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machine. The bed was huge and comfortable. Although we had our own space, we could use the amenities of Hotel Madeira if required - the roof top bar and pool area was great for a drink at the end of the day. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful.

The air con in the bedroom wasn't as efficient as we would've liked but was sufficient for the temperature in October during our stay which was around mid twenties. The shower needs a little attention to get it running correctly.
