Gillygate Boutique Apartment- Stunning City Centre 1 Bedroom Apartment

Great location

It's a very cramped semi-basement with an uncomfortable kitchen and a dirty backyard. The owners are more demanding than hospitable.

Property was very tired and stains on sofa, tables in living room looked like they had been cleaned with a dirty cloth. Outside could have done with being swept and a handrail down the stairs.

Location is great. Very central. Right next to the hop on bus. Minutes from the minster, shops and restaurants. OK for a night or 2. Good for couple if eating out.

Not very clean. Lumps of hair behind doors. Crumbs on sofa. Plates and cutlery all had to be washed. Sofa bed terribly uncomfortable. No towel rail or shelf in bathroom, so nowhere to put anything. No bin in one bathroom. WiFi is almost non existent. Complete lack of sockets. Could do with TV in bedroom for when living room bed being used. Door to en-suite so stiff, wouldn’t want to have been in there with poor grip. Could do with being left a dishwasher tablet or a tea towel that doesn’t leave fluff over everything. Front door key needs attention. Steps to door have no rail. Fine for us but not great if you’re not as steady.

Location was great. Very large bedroom. Had 2 bathrooms, which was great for us three ladies, getting ready for Ladies day at the races. Had everything needed for a couple of nights stay in York.

Sofa bed wasn’t too comfy. There were 3 of us, so only one had to sleep on it. Might have been difficult for 2 people. Also, the few concrete steps down to the outside entrance of the apartment, could benefit from some sort of rail to hold on to. We were all ladies in our 60s and were very aware of the risk of falling, especially when returning back in the dark, or in wet weather. Younger visitors, probably wouldn’t be worried about that, but even they could miscalculate those steps, after returning from a night on the town.

Location was excellent 2 bathrooms so no having to wait to have a shower

Amazing location, a short walk to the Minster and city centre. Also round the corner to Museum Gardens for the Shed Seven gig, we were attending. Cosy, 1 bedroom basement apartment, well appointed with two bathrooms.

Tissue in sofa bed, food under chair in living room. Showers could be more powerful, but adequate.

The comfort in this flat is very bad. especially very hot and not ventilated in summer. super hot to sleep underground.
