Sandpiper Cottages

It was very large and had lots of space for 4 people . A very beautiful location , 2 bathrooms, very well decorated.

Lots of steps up to property . No seating on balcony.

The location right at the beach was outstanding. The allocated parking, the layout of the apartment, especially upstairs, was very well thought out. The kitchen was so well equipped that we only went for a meal once. The balcony overlooked the beach and we got great enjoyment from watching the tides, the people and dogs enjoying the beach. The sunsets were stunning, when we had them

There were steep stairs up to the property which were not mentioned in the advertising for the property. The stairs were sandy and dangerously slippery. The upstairs bedroom had no wardrobe or chest of drawers, although it was advertised as having at least one of the two. We complained to the management. The lady we dealt with was very understanding, but we haven't heard anything further yet about a price reduction.

Very nice property In a great location

Good location, nice apartment, comfortable.

- Poor communication by hosts. - Unwilling to discuss a request for an earlier check in (given the apartment was not in use the previous night). - High chair requested in advance, agreed, but had to be opened and put together by us which took quite a while (given we were only able to check in at 16:00, this affected our time at the location). - Had to search for travel cot in the cupboards, even though this was requested. Should have been easily accessible. - No washing up liquid to clean dishes and cups etc.

The location of the apartment was perfect as it was a stones throw to the beach, the apartment itself was lovely and decorated very nice.

A huge problem for myself and my family visiting Newquay for the first time was the lack of phone signal in the area (which cannot be helped) but we need to be able to plan our days as our eldest child has additional needs and we have a baby so aren’t able to wander about aimlessly. The apartment did have WIFI and login details were provided however we could not connect to the WIFI on either of our phones or iPad the connection would just keep loading but never connect which was very frustrating and meant that we had to travel and sit in a car park to get some phone signal to look up some local places. We eventually gave in and had to pay £20 to use an EE connection somewhere close by that required logging in every time we unlocked our phones. The view of the beach that is shown in the pictures when booking does not represent the view that the apartment actually provides, the pictures have been taken from apartment number one which has a clear view, whereas apartments 2 onwards have the point of the roof of the previous apartment in their view with around a 4 foot space either side to view the beach which is not what I thought I was getting. The narrow balcony on arrival was covered in dust/ sand, I understand it is located on the sea front and a lot of dust/ sand is in the air but if a cleaning service had been to the apartment between customers then they hadn’t bothered to sweep/ clean this area and definitely hadn’t bothered to clean the glass of the sliding doors leading to this area. Overall I felt a little disappointed by this stay, it cost me the best part of £2000 and was just underwhelming, my wife spent the first hour cleaning the balcony and sliding doors which is just not a good start and we each had to pay for WiFi for the week as what was provided did not work properly.

Unit was amazing. Bed upstairs is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

Main bathroom fan not working

Loved the location. It’s right by Porth beach with great views of the sea. It was a beautiful modern apartment with the open plan living space upstairs to take advantage of the views and the bedrooms downstairs.

We didn’t dislike anything. In an ideal world we would have liked 2 bathrooms/toilets as we were sharing with another couple, but we knew this when we booked.
