"Perfect getaway for us!"

Vincent and Julian have such a beautiful house, it is quirky, exceptionally clean, comfortable and so many artifacts to peruse. Vincent was the perfect host with advice on restaurants to visit and the layout of the town. The property is walking distance to the railway station, beach and to the old town, great location!

There is nothing not to like.

"Heel erg aangenaam verblijf in een mooi pand met erg vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheren."

Black Rock House is een erg mooi pand. De gastheren geven heel veel tips voor iotstappen, restaurants, pubs...Ze zijn erg sympathiek.

Het ontbijt is van erg goeie kwaliteit maar mist war afwisseling.

"An amazing discovery in a unique house."

Breakfast was very good indeed with excellent choices and condiments. The sitting room and dining room were very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Lovely comfortable bedroom with high quality bedding and bath robes. There was even a fridge with fresh milk for tea & coffee. We were very well looked after by our hosts who obviously enjoy having guests to stay and think of every little detail.

"Delightful host with sumptuous accommodation"

Vincent was a knowledgeable host and very personable. He shared his knowledge of local restaurants generously. He invited us to share a welcome drink and nibbles with other guests in the lounge area - which was a nice touch.

"Loved Hastings. The Old Town is a must with great places to shop and eat."

An excellent and very comfortable stay. We loved the eclectic decor and Vincent was an exceptional host. The breakfast was outstanding with jams and preserves from Fortnums no less! The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Got a feeling we’ll be back.

"Exceeding our expectations and can’t wait to return!"

This was the perfect stay for myself and my girlfriends for a seaside escape! The home itself is gorgeous and well-located to town and the beach but the reason our stay was so wonderful was Vincent, the host. We cannot express enough how amazing he had been for our short stay - his home cooked breakfast was delicious and he was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions/recommendations for things to do in and around Hastings. We hope to return back soon one day!

Good quiet location. Very helpful host. Good shower. Good tea/coffee facilities in our room including fresh milk.
