Richmond Modern Apartment

The beds were so comfortable! The neighborhood was quiet. The staff communicated easily and clearly.

Three room apartment suits three of us. The apartment is bright and the kitchen is clean and bright as well. It’s a little far from the London center but very Quiet.

The bathroom is a bit tiny and a bathtub takes two third of the space. If there are more hooks will be very helpful.

Hosts were very communicative

Could do with some maintenance/updates

Fabulous apartment. Nice large rooms, and with plenty of natural light. Super comfortable. Super clean Nicely decorated and very homely. Super friendly owners helped fix booking.com issue. Would definitely stay again and for longer, without hesitation. Close to good eateries (The Salisbury was excellent!) and supermarket around the corner.

Booked on same day due to other apartment cancelling on us, and then arriving to find it wasn't cleaned. However, owners were amazing and got it cleaned super fast even on Easter Sunday (thank you!) whilst we went out for dinner. Pity the rear garden area is unusable as looks unkept and untouched with rubble and rubbish. The heating programmer was programmed to tropical temperatures so woke up to 23 degrees in night. Right under Heathrow flight path so for country people very noisy in daytime, but to be fair only when windows open as good sound isolation.

Excellent location - only a 10 minute walk to Richmond for tube/trains/bars/restaurants etc. Apartment is small but has everything required for a good stay. The owners were attentive and responsive when we had an issue figuring out the central heating. on street parking included in the cost too which is a big bonus for London.

Property in an ideal location, a 15 minute walk into centre of Richmond and ideal for an event we attended at Kew Gardens. Hosts were communicative prior to our arrival and accommodated our request for a high chair and cot, would have been great however, if the cot had been set up in advance and linen provided for the cot or informed that linen would be needed so we could have brought from home Facilities were ok, kitchen mostly well equipped with what we needed, however would be good to have a casserole dish, luckily we had bought our own for planned dinner first night. Nice "welcome pack" of water, kit Kat's and porridge provided. Knives that were available (not in a knife block as the owner later queried with us on it's whereabouts) were satisfactory, needed sharpening. Bed was comfortable, the futon sofa in the lounge was annoying as it kept sliding out from its position and wasn't comfortable to sit on. Overall cleaning was fine but the chimney either needs blocking or better cleaning checks as there was pigeon poo on the fireplace floor which my daughter (crawling) proceeded to pick up. Not what I expect to have in a stay. The two big negatives, one of which has been mentioned in many feedback, is the unsafe hot water in the shower. It was far too hot, dangerously so. We didn't fiddle with the boiler to try and get it to a more manageable temp because that's not what we expect from a stay. This is a health and safety issue that needs to be rectified immediately. Secondly, the listing says there is an ironing board. I'm not sure you can call two small little ironing boards, that frankly are only good for doing a child's clothes, as sufficient. There is space in the kitchen to store a proper sized ironing board. Overall the apartment was satisfactory for our needs for the weekend due to it's ideal location and the parking included which the hosts are kind enough to sort out prior to your arrival.
