Richmond Modern Apartment

Good central heating, beds comfy, thoughtful supplies and good amount/range of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, good fast wifi, easy to find, good location, totally clean enough (except the freezer compartment). It was basically alright in a lot of the most important respects, and well supplied and equipped.

The big one was the fridge, which was DEFINITELY broken - freezer compartment door fully fell off, freezer compartment was unclean and about 80% ice and totally unusable, and the fridge section fluctuated between -3ºC and 10ºC. The fridge both froze my carrot sticks and made my yogurt go bad, we did end up wasting quite a lot of food for this reason. The accommodation description said it had a private entrance, but it does not - it has a shared front door and hallway with 3 other flats. No dish rack on the drainer next to the sink. Knives all blunt. Batteries in living room clock and both living room TV remotes all flat. Bed in road-side bedroom was very squeaky. Microwave door handle broken. Lamps needed in living room for cosy, non-bright lighting.

The location is fantastic with easy access to buses and trains. Easy to reach by car with cul-de-sac parking which is provided free of charge. Getting the property was easy with excellent instructions. There was a bit of a mix up with the cleaners from the previous visitors. But the owners quickly sorted it out with a cleaning team there within in hour. Excellent service, and the cleaners were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. There's everything you need to make meals and is ideal for families to use as a base to visit London.

The bed in the main bedroom is a slatted frame type and squeaks when someone moves as some of the slats are broken; a change of bed would make for a great upgrade to the flat.

Cozy home with everything you needed. Very clean.

Very well equipped and nicely decorated apartment with extra welcoming touches such as a food and drink tray. Easy free parking (permit paid for by host) right outside. It had everything we needed while away from home!

The only thing was the sofa - very small, only sat two people; there were three of us and the flat can sleep four, so another sofa or a couple of armchairs would make it so much more comfortable!

Beds were comfy, location was close to Center of town.

Front door to building was hardly ever locked, couldnt get the tv to work and there were no instructions as to which remote to use to do what, the food we put in the fridge froze. The listing said it was modern but the furniture was tired and had one love seat that fit two and two very uncomfortable ikea type chairs. The garden was was a paved area with weeds, front and back. Coffee pods were the wrong size for the machine. No helpful maps for the area and the instructions left were dated and on one item, incorrect. Offered to pay for one night and cleaning fee so we could find somewhere more suitable but the owner said he couldn’t do that.

The owners were very quick to respond and stayed in touch throughout our trip. We had parking at the end of a dead end street, and it was very quiet. We were close to Kew Gardens and walked there in 15 minutes. The rooms were very clean. The owners had coffee delivered to us in 15 minutes on a Sunday night when we asked if there was more available.

Our first night we discovered the bed was missing slats on one side by my husband getting into bed and hitting the floor. The owners came the next day and repaired it. Someone had tried to repair it with a velcro tarp that was unsuccessful. The rooms themselves have seen a lot of use. Chipped paint, broken chandelier, and low budget furniture influenced our first impression.

Great size for 5 adults and a very good location with good transportation close by. It's close to the centre of Richmond and close to a big supermarket. The landlords were good, responsive and able to sort out problems that came up.

Nice and comfortable apartment. Perfect for a family stay. Location is great, easy access to public transport. Communication with the renters was pleasant.
