Horrible to get there, staff rude and not useful, dirty blankets, nothing clear with the payment. REFUSE TO GIVE IS A PROPER RECEIPT. THE LOCATION IS TERRIBLE you can't get there by car because it's too inclined! Theres way better hotels in the area for the same budget. Consider yourself warned

Fantastic and charming guest house for this price point. Located in the best possible area of San Blas, on a quiet street but only a short walk from the action. Cool historic building with interesting details and skylights in the room. Everything was clean and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and friendly. And - great shower pressure with hot water, which I understand is not always the case in Cusco.

I loved everything about this place, but fair warning that you’ll be climbing some hills and stairs when staying in the San Blas neighborhood. Fortunately, Ubers and taxis go right to the front door.

The location was great. The rooms were heated and quite comfortable .The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We had really nice breakfasts at request. We really enjoyed our stay in Maison Fortaleza. There is a nice plaza a block away from where we had amazing views of downtown Cuzco.

Hotel decor, close to a few very good cafe' and restaurants in a very picturesque street. Staff is really nice

the hotel is up on a hill which can be challenging to walk. The hill is challenging for cars as well, so at night and early in the morning you hear cars going by, getting stuck, speeding up and so on. It looks like a quite area but it is not. The rooms were cold. Heating system was working but we could not get warm the shower pressure was not the best The hotel only accept cash and such info is not clearly stated on Booking. I end up giving most of my cash to the hotel and that was a real inconvinience

Maison Fortaleza is such a perfect place to stay. It is located in a quiet location convenient to everything. The mansion and rooms are extremely clean, tidy, high ceiling, elegant, specious with ample light from the big windows. It has the warmth, elegance and high quality of a Swiss mountain cottage, influence of its owners Itala and Jean-Claude who spend half of their time in Switzerland. Itala and Jean-Claude are extremely friendly and welcoming, always willing to offer suggestions and help. I was very impressed and grateful that they really thought about all the details (e.g. extra heaters, blankets) to make sure guests feel comfortable and relaxed. Masion Fortaleza is absolutely one of the best places I ever stayed. Price is never a big factor for me but Masion Fortaleza is absolutely a bargain.. one would pay for double and triple for it.

Incredibly friendly owners. Lovely hot shower and great sized room. Located in a quiet area at the top of the town.

We had a wonderful stay in this guest house. Itala helped us to organize tours and even became our guide for a day. This guest house is centrally located and has easy access to the square and historical sites. I would definitely recommend and stay again myself.

It would be amazing if breakfast was available for our next trip!
