Windsor Residence

Windsor Residence Nuwara Eliya was recommended to me by a good friend of mine who has been in this Hotel before. I am so thankful to her first of all. This is actually the Best Hotel I stayed during my Honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Beautiful Hotel with a great Interior and exterior. Very Clean atmosphere, Very comfy Beds, Cozy Bedrooms, Great WIFI, Sterlite TV, Tea & Coffee Making Facilities are few of the facilities I found. I found this as a family run property and the Business Owner Mr. Thushara and his very efficient family members always took great care of their Guests and paid extra attention in to every little detail. Breakfast was super (and it was too much for us actually) and we ordered Dinner also and the Food is so yummy.

Nothing. We really enjoyed our stay @ Windsor Residence. Mr. Thushara is so knowledgeable about the country and he guided us about the most important places for us to cover in Sri Lanka during our remaining Holiday. He is truly a loving person.

The host and his family were wonderful and very welcoming! He even upgraded my room to a larger bed (which was so comfortable!). Also, the breakfast was huge!

The walls are very thin. I stayed in the room next to the kitchen and could hear everything, including guests who arrived very late in the night and were taking calls while sitting at the table. Also, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. To be fair, I did not bring it up to the host so I didn’t give them a chance to fix the problem, but the floor looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

Clean and comfortable. It’s run by a lovely family who make a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast. Beautiful people and good location for exploring.

No wifi

The staff was very attentive and helpful, very accommodating with my request, they took care of my needs to make my stay a wow experience. They even arranged to send my shirt which i forgot to my hotel in my next destination. Luv the team, missed them actually the next day after I left. One thing for sure, I will stay again in case I re-visit SL in the future, they were like a family to me during my stay, unforgettable experience indeed.

Would be better if there is heater lolz, i have a low cold temperature tolerance, however I requested for blanket and helped a lot in the night. Weather is not in the hands of any human being. So literally, nothing that I didn't like.

Fantastically friendly and caring host of the apartment. Great national breakfast, and if you prefer traditional European breakfast, it's there too :) I recommend a visit. You will be satisfied!

A very nice family run place, friendly staff. You get a choice of breakfast menu. Good value for money.
