The location was fine, right on Bourbon street but towards the end so it wasn’t too loud.

The cleanliness and responsiveness from the owners were terrible. When we first checked in, we noticed the lock to our unit didn’t work, our room smelled strongly of cigar smoke, our bathroom sink was clogged, and the bathroom was visibly dirty. There is no staff on site, so I called customer support and explained that we needed to leave for an event and that the condition of the room was not acceptable. They told me that the guest house is “very safe” and that we should leave our things in an unlocked unit on bourbon street and that they would send somebody to repair it sometime that night. I asked if we could use another room in the meantime. They allowed us to move to a smaller unit but told us that we would have to check out and check back in the next day to our original room. The smaller room at least had a working lock, but the bathroom was not clean. I was uncomfortable going barefoot in the shower because the drain was clogged with other people’s hair and there was visible mold. The next day I didn’t hear from customer support so I called them. They told me our original room still hadn’t been repaired, but they were going to do it today and we would need to be available to switch rooms at 4pm. I told them we were in town for a wedding and could not be available to switch rooms at that time. They told us we would stay in the smaller room for the rest of our stay, and promised to reach out to the owner on our behalf because our experience was so bad. We never heard back. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness, lack of professionalism and communication with this guest house. I would not recommend staying here.

The staff replies quickly. Good location on Bourbon Street with less noise than other blocks. The room was decorated nicely and was very spacious. The courtyard area is really pretty too.

There were no windows in the room, only AC, which can start to feel a little damp. It’s okay if it’s only for a couple days but for extended periods maybe get a room with windows. We didn’t know there would be no windows. You can open the door, but there’s no screen, so bugs come in. The big rugs in the room were very dirty but other than that the room was clean. The kitchen really doesn’t offer much, e.g. only one glass, and nothing to do the dishes with.

The location was good. The courtyard felt safe to get in to.

Everything else was a negative. The bed, pillows, bathroom, shower specifically was awful, the towels had bleach stains on them and an odor of dampness, the courtyard patio was technically a patio but hardly even enough room to sit as it was so narrow. The fridge was okay, but the freezer was not, full of freezer burn so no way to store a portion of ice if you brought it home anyway. We were in unit E, but from the looks of the place I don’t know that any units would be better.

Dirty filthy !!! Everything is filthy. The walkway upon entering is not lit the key box can hardly see the box and definitely cannot see the keys. This property is a complete lie. Our room looks completely different than your website. The hotel agreed to refund .

Great location, charming guest house, weather very quiet court yard right on Bourbon! It was clean and very nice, just as advertised and expected.

However, we had told the owner we were two senior ladies who would use about the bedroom and the sleeper sofa in the living room. However, there was no blanket or comforter for the sofa bed. One of us slept with all of her clothes on. When we asked for a blanket, the owner said they did not have anymore blankets. The service people said the owner did not want to buy anymore blankets. The service people were great, they replaced the broken coffee maker in our apartment with a new one, and did everything they could to accommodate us. The gate lock was not working properly, we got a spare code, but still had trouble. The instructions said use the fob on the key and the key had no fob. We almost panicked upon leaving because we were getting threats about surcharge of $75 if we do not drop our keys on time. While struggling with the lockbox. Other than that, the place was great, just needs a little bit more attention to accommodating customers, thank you.
