The Shoe Box cottage with allocated parking

Looked lovely on pictures and was close to the town centre. The parking - whilst it was a short walk away from the property - was a plus point.

It was poorly maintained and not clean, to the point of being potentially dangerous. The shower didn’t work, the tiles were broken in the bathroom and it was generally sticky and grubby throughout. You could see stains on the ceiling where water has come through from the bathroom, and there was a foisty smell in the property as soon as you walked through the door. The towels looked like they’d been used to wash dogs!

The kitchen utiilities were very poor. The oven didn't look as id it had been cleaned in years and was dirty. There was only one saucepan and two lids!!! and a frying pan that was old and had a loose handle which was dangerous.

Place wasn't very clean, with left over food and crumbs in the oven and under the dining table. Listed was a high chair but was no high chair on arrival which made feeding a active 1 year old challenging at times - forced us to eat out more than we had planned. Blinds in the living room and top bedroom were broken and wouldn't stay closed so we had to jam them closed to ensure the light didn't wake our baby in the early hours. 'Allocated parking' listed on booking site but it doesnt state that it is actually a 6 minute walk away several streets over, not actually close by to the cottage which we werent told about until days before we were due to arrive meaning we had missed the window to cancel and get a refund. Despite messaging over a week before to find out parking details it was sent in a generic message before check in. Had we known this we wouldn't have booked knowing how much stuff we needed to bring with a dog and a 1 year old. Shower/bath also wasn't particularly clean but as we were only there for 2 nights we made it work

War ein wenig schwierig zu finden.

The property had lots of character, was in a good location and very peaceful.

The shower was scalding hot. Could not regulate the temperature. The shower over the bath did not work properly. The whole property was not overly clean.

Nos gusto mucho la casita en general, estaba bastante bien, con 2 habitaciones amplias y engeneral te puedes apañar bastante bien, por el precio que hay en la zona volveria a repetir. Habia muchas cosas en la casa para usar, champu, gel, acondicionador, detergente para los platos, papel de cocina,,, La cuna para nuestro bebé estaba perfecta, con su colchon y todo, que parece una tonteria pero en muchas partes de Europa las cunas no tienen colchon.

Lo que no nos gustó, es que el parking se encuentra a 6 minutos caminando y nos costo un poco encontrarlo, tanto que llamé por telefono a los anfitriones y no recibí ninguna respuesta, no me cogieron el telefono ni me devolvieron la llamada. No fue ninguna emergencia y finalmente encontramos el parking pero y si hubiese sido urgente? Creo que deberian estar mas atentos a sus huespedes... Respecto a la casa la limpieza no estaba del todo mal la verdad pero podria mejorar un pelin, pero nada grave. En la cocina habia pocos utensilios de cocina pero fregando podias ir apañandote (nada grave tampoco) El baño tenia bañera y ducha, la ducha estaba rota y no se podia usar y la bañera, costaba mucho regular el agua y salia MUY MUY poca cantidad, pero nada grave tampoco, podias apañarte. A rasgos generales volveriamos por el precio y lo cuca que era la casita.
