No43: Versatile 4BR coastal home with summer house

We loved everything about this house. Location is perfect for the red jet ferry and there's a bus stop and small newsagents right around the corner. Cowes is a 5-10 minute walk away. The house had plenty of space for our group and was very clean with everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and kept in touch with us while we were there to make sure everything was OK. We walked to the Woodvale in Gurnard on our first night for a meal and saw a spectacular sunset. So pleased we found this place and we'll definitely be back.

The house was so comfortable. We had different ages staying including an elderly nan who found the downstairs bedroom and bathroom really handy. There were so many comforts that made it really feel homely and lovely to have toiletries and food and drink supplies. It is so close to the centre of Cowes and the high street, just a very short walk away. The corner shop is open till 8pm every day and very handy to pick up odd bits. There is also a Sainsbury's on the high street. There was a lovely Chinese takeaway just around the corner. Would definitely recommend and would look to stay again next time we are visiting the Isle of Wight.

Nothing really that we didn't like. The only thing might be worth mentioning was the stairs going upstairs were a bit tight which our elderly nan who found them difficult to navigate and there were a couple of stairs in the kitchen and leading to the downstairs bathroom but our nan could manage them.

Excellent location, superb house with excellent facilities, everything absolutely perfect, homely and welcoming. We’ve been coming to Cowes for a while and out of all the properties we have stayed in, this has been the best ever and we plan to book this regularly for our charity Autism on the Water’s events in Cowes.

There’s literally nothing not to like! It’s just perfect all round. The only slight critic was the bed slats on the double bed kept coming undone.

What a lovely home. Tasteful, fully set-up and excellent responsive hosts.

Ample accommodation for our needs and clean and comfortable. Good location for local facilities.

The landlord was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great property and even better host. They sorted our ferry tickets from London at a very reasonable price. They also provided a welcome pack with milk, bread, butter, eggs etc which was a very nice gesture.
