A bit cold

The location was great. The history behind the house was really cool too.

It’s a very old house with a lot of nooks and crannies (which is super cool) but be prepared to find some dead bugs and some live ones. It’s unavoidable in a building that old.

Excellent location. Oozing history. Comfortable and warm.

I'm quite tall and the mirror and shelf above the bathroom sink were very low, making using the sink awkward. So, something and nothing really. Would I come back? Absolutely yes. 🙂

The location was excellent to explore York. Everything was in easy walking distance. Davey Tower is a quaint town house with lots of charm. I don't think there is a straight wall, square corner or level floor in the place.

You have everything you need but it needs a bit of a attention. The small court yard could be a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine in the sun. If it was not for its unkempt dirty appearance and stinging nettles in the garden boarder.

Great location. Quirky accommodation. Well equipped kitchen and facilities.

Needs a bit of tlc/paint work. Heavy dust/litter under the bed. We needed to bleed the radiators and re pressure the boiler. Which was no big deal.

Great location overlooking the river. The apartment was lovely and we particularly enjoyed the original features and feel of this historical building. The bed was large and very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook if desired. Don't expect a five star modern apartment, however you will find this is a lovely place to stay with a rich history 😊

Well equipped properly in a fabulous location.

Door in kitchen has very steep stairs down to basement (not in use) but no lock on door.

Location is perfect for exploring York by foot

We liked everything! However if we were really critical we both felt that the property needed a facelift and that the property would have had much more appeal with a working open / wood burning stove in the lounge.. there were no personal touches! Like a welcome pack and bathrobes and slippers.. they would have just been the icing on the cake to what is a fantastic place!!
