Riverside Cottage with sauna

Lovely garden and nice access to the stream

Very difficult to enter the property. The keypad was very temperamental. Slightly noisy next to the main road. Very old property and although the decor and furnishings appear to be recently done, the building is old and the surrounding area in need of a good sort out. We left our stay early as the stairs were to difficult for our old dog.

The Cottage is beautiful in a beautiful setting right by a river. Absolutely beautiful.

The weather lol. We have stayed here twice, once in February 2024 and once in July 2024 and it was wonderful seeing everything in the team seasons. There's nothing we didn't like.

Loved the garden with the stream running through it, Very quiet and comfortable. Upstairs bedroom was spacious and cosy.

Lack of wine glasses, only had plastic. Ground floor bedroom was very cold, needs new floor.

I thought the location was awesome ! It was so relaxing , the gentle flow of the streams was amazing to listen to whilst sat having your morning coffee !

I would loved to have a recycling option. As I recycle l everything at home .

The space available is very good for a 4 member family. The facilities are good. The location is idyllic. We loved the stream, and the sauna is a nice edition to the property. The main bedroom and lounge is a good standard.

The downstairs bedroom is dark and smells of damp, and we couldn't use it after the first night. We had to use the sofa bed in the lounge upstairs, but we weren't expecting to have to use this. The property looks like it is in the middle of a refurbishment, which isn't clear in the booking. The previous occupant hadn't cleaned properly (oven was dirty). The bed sheets provided are smelling of damp and stained. The bed frame downstairs is dirty and has red stains on it. The bathroom was not 'hotel' clean. The whole downstairs needs refurbishment, including the stairs (smelled of dog)

Had a little trouble with the electronic door key pad.

Our third visitto this idyllic cottage with a tranquil feel. The beautiful cottage is cosy and homely with stinny views. The sound of the meandering River around the cottage is a real treat. We feel lucky to have found such a perfect holiday retreat. The owners are attentive and welcoming. We particularly look forward to the welcome complimentary smoked trout.

The view was amazing and close to the coast

Even the place was beautiful we can't justify 3 days without hot water and no electricity and heating in one of the bedrooms. Owner wasn't really bothered to come over and see what happened with the electricity, instead we received text message saying the electricity is on and for sure it's us who can't switch the light on.. it went back on 1h before we left.. Also outside light is not working so we had a bbq in total darkness. Also place need proper clean up- my 10 months old daughter was covered in dogs hair after 10 min on the floor, all the dishes was disgusting- we washed up everything before use.

What a lovely spot! Overlooking the river, stunning views. Nice spacious rooms, all you need supplied. Welcome pack with goodies a thoughtful addition. Sauna a massive bonus!!

Could do with a refresh - bed linen and pillows tired, mattress not very comfortable. WiFi was ok but couldn’t watch tv as signal very intermittent. (Ok with Netflix if you have your own account.)
