"Ideal base for short stays as central to the beautiful Lynmouth, needed to be more cosy with softer furnishings for us."

6.0

Location, although access is awkward it is in the middle of Lynmouth with lovely views. Close to walks, shops, pubs and restaurants. Security lights at night. Towels and bedding all super clean. Well decorated with peaceful interiors.

Entrance is slippy and unfriendly. Overgrown brambles and although not their fault a neighbour has half blocked the entrance with a stand for an old rug that has plants growing out of it. For us the beds were too hard and the lounge offered no where to snuggle. Chairs and sofa all very hard, again as a small building I would imagine finding furniture that fits is a nightmare. The staircase is not for the fainthearted. Due to the incline needed the steps are shallow and narrow. Not a lot the owner can do but I’m glad my parents decided not to join us they would not have managed them. Even my 20+ daughter struggled.

"Loved the area and had a good holiday."

7.0

Great location!

Entrance to the property was terrible there was scaffolding and a ladder at the doorway and it was dark and dingy! A soggy dog biscuit was found down the side of the sofa bed cushion so obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly!

"A lovely stay in a characterful cottage"

7.0

Fantastic location, a really lovely old cottage. Overall a great place that I'd recommend.

A couple of things needed a bit of upkeep, e.g. bathroom tap, and scaffolding was in place at the back of the property. Whilst this related to the lovely character of the property, the access around the back, and internal stairs were rather challenging. The latter are steep and leaning, which meant my parents couldn't use them when visiting. I think it's worth highlighting to prospective visitors, just so they are aware!

"Compact clean and suitable for a short stay"

5.0

Nice bathroom clean and nice layout, the children really liked the loft room, nice view of the river, WiFi Cordless vacuum, constant hot water, well equipped kitchen.

Obstructed entrance with scaffolding, steepness of the stairs between floors, no cleaning products, extremely noisy fridge when trying to appreciate some quiet time. No dishwasher. Only 3 chairs for the dining room table. Having to park down the street. No where to put your shoes. And smelled a bit like pets/ dogs. To be fair we knew that there was no parking or dishwasher when we booked.

"Through television, we became aware of this beautiful place. Amazing Place."

We had a very nice stay there. The apartment was very close to the river, which was excellent for small walks.

I can't find anything negative now.
