Kamon Inn Inari

It was a gorgeous place to stay, very clean. Close to public transport and close to temples and Tori gates. Lots of room for a family to stay. It was in a quiet street.

Une maison agréable dans un quartier calme mais à proximité de beaucoup de restaurants, de la gare et temple. La maison est bien équipée, avec produits de douche à disposition. Correspond au descriptif de l annonce.

A titre personnel l expérience des futons était pas top car très dur.

Its is quite near to the train station, there is a 24 hrs laundry mart nearby

The toilet and bath room is all located downstairs room and the staircase is rather narrow and steep.

It is a traditional Japanese house in a residential area of Kyoto, but still very close to 2 different train lines: one taking you in 5 minutes to Kyoto main station (in the opposite direction to Nara), the other going for example to Gion. The area is full of places to eat, cafes, shops, and a walking distance to Fushimi Inari Shrine - definitely worth a visit, you can avoid the crowds being so close. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully traditional. We only needed to use the upstairs bedrooms, which was very convenient, because we had extended living space downstairs and nobody had to sleep near the bathroom and toilet doors. There are 2 separate toilets, a separate room with sink and a washing machine, and a separate shower room, again very convenient, even for a larger family. The futons turned out to be very comfortable to sleep on, quite surprising for Europeans. This is a very local experience, not comparable to any hotel stay.

It was very cold in Kyoto during our stay in February with a lot of snow and the house was not the warmest unfortunately, especially the main bathroom. The kitchen could be better equipped, we missed standard knives, paper towels, more bowls/plates in different sizes. The stairs are steep - be mindful of that, it is very typical for Japanese housing.

It was a lovely comfortable accommodation. Close to the stations and full of interesting sites to see.
