There’s no heat in the bathroom, which is unacceptable in winter season!

Really clean and cosy traditional Japanese home. The host went above and beyond with preparation of the amenities Also the property has beautiful views to the canal and is very close to the shrines and temples in Gion Definitely will book this property again if I am in Kyoto

The location was ideal with the river outside our front. The landscape on the river was serene and a delight to wake every morning to it. Local metro station was a 5 minute walk and you could walk to the hub of Kyoto in 15 minutes. The house provided all the necessary appliances, especially the washing machine.

If you are not use to a futon the host will provide additional mattress if required.

Comfortable beds, great location, lots of space. We loved stopping by the river on our way home to cool off our feet after a long hot day of walking!

No place to eat a meal. A small table in the tatami room would have been ideal - we just sat on the floor.
