Quirky Kendal Cottage

Lack of parking, having to share the garden which we weren’t told about in advance also the description didn’t say it was over three floors, lack of information in the cottage also no simple necessaries such as washing up liquid or kitchen towel

Easy access, great location. very cosy cottage, had everything we needed

It was really warm and clean.

The freezer door wasn't closing properly, hence didn't freeze well.

Loved the quirkiness, it was well equipped, spread over three floors, well proportioned for me and the dog, and great having an enclosed garden to let her into without also having to go. Having the log fire, jigsaws, and Alexa to play jazz on (😁) made for a very relaxing evening after a crawl of some of the recommended hostelries, along with others discovered en route... all washed off with a bath before a cosy sleep.

Loved being able to have a bath, as I don't have one, which was one of the main features I was looking for. IF I was being picky, the small things that would bring the score up: A recoat of the bath enamel would bring the bath up to scratch (with attention needed for the bathmat underside and shower curtain at the tap end). A wee sweep under the bed.

It was cozy. Comfortable big bed and warm and pet friendly. Kendal was a good gateway to the rest of the Lake District and had lots of places to eat and explore.

Parking was a bit frustrating but manageable.

It was quirky and very well located, just such a lovely vibe

There was only one comfy sofa

Location very good

Not enough kitchen utensils cups etc. Washing machine could be replaced with a dishwasher. Some cooking pots old and cracked. Only 3 seats in lounge (there were 4 of us). No tea towels. Shower curtain rather old and dirty.
