Whitby Beachfront Cottage

Location great

Wasn’t very clean Such as the windows and room floor. The view from the room was lovey however the windows were filthy. Couldn’t use the TV the programmes would not load. The fire didn’t work even the light for ambiance. The blinds in downstairs bedroom were broken.

The were no blinds so very bright in the morning. The internet wasn’t good so no tv connection

Location. Very comfy beds. Good shower and clean towels. Lounge was lovely and facilities fine. View amazing.

One of the upstairs bedrooms was quite dirty. Not sure under the bed had been cleaned in weeks. No toilet roll or washing up liquid was provided and just a single bin bag.

The view was incredible!

Location is second to none- sea views galore

The accommodation met our expectations so we were happy with it all.

The cottage needs alot of tlc i was disappointed that it states in the description working fire and tv but both did not work and from reading past reviews others staying have said the same so it is obviously something that has not been fixed for sometime the cottage was also not clean i was very disappointed and i felt it was very overpriced

The view from the cottage was beautiful. The sound of the sea, the joy felt from people walking the beach was nice and calming. Really close to all amenities. It was clean, quirky, and easy to access.

The steps and stairs were a little steep (I am disabled) but it wasn't a dislike, its just something to bear in mind.

Absolutely stunning views over the beach, and in a perfect location to bars and restaurants.

The property is in an absolutely fantastic place, with amazing views, but unfortunately the cottage wasn’t that clean. Plug sockets are hanging off the wall in the second bedroom, and the blind in the downstairs bedroom was broken, plus there was only 1 mirror upstairs. There was dust everywhere, the floor was dirty, and the internet wasn’t working. The whole downstairs is very dated, and could do with a lick of paint, and a bit of an update on the outdated furniture. When we arrived on a very cold Friday afternoon there was no heating on. I contacted the owners husband who told me the boiler had just been serviced and it all should be working. Luckily, I managed to get the heating going by turning the boiler on, and working out the hive switch. We’d have loved to have sat on the balcony, but there were no outside chairs to enjoy the view. I really hate having to write this, but I feel that this place with a little TLC could be an absolute gold mine. I know the owners don’t live in Whitby, but I really do think they need to speak to their cleaners, as their standards are very low, and it could start loosing them business.
