The location and view from lounge window amazing

The place is in desperate need of a good clean, cobwebs and dirt in bathroom someone elses shoes under coffee table in lounge windows need cleaning

The location was fabulous, the beds were clean and comfortable

The radiator in the upstairs bedroom didn’t work and some of the sockets , a couple of tea bags , some washing up liquid and maybe some dishcloths wouldn’t go amiss , and maybe more than one toilet roll, apart from that was enjoyable, to be fair when I phoned the owners for some advice they were very helpful

The view from the balcony was perfect shame about the property.

The property is very run down, flaking paint,chipped skirting boards, dirty marks on walls, scatter cushions frayed and torn, bedside table stained with broken handle, broken hangers in the wardrobe, after a journey of 6 hrs I arrived desperate for the loo and found there was no toilet roll provided. The nearest shop 10/15 min walk away, whilst you're there be sure to buy some washing up liquid too as the only thing to wash your dishes is a dirty sponge under the sink, needless to say I didn't use it and lack of these provisions answered the question as to why I kept finding dirty crockery in the cupboards. The bathroom on first glance looks clean and new but the wash basin doesn't drain away and the radiator is rusted. I found a shirt in one of the wardrobes upstairs...good luck to anyone trying to get in touch to retrieve it as owner never replied to my questions..I asked twice for the code for the wifi and never got it, she was happy to provide the spiel of times for arrival and departures as per 'booking.com' but when asked questions didn't reply...also no instructions left for operation of log fire. The biggest no no for me was the problem of the carpet on the top stair. At first I thought it was badly fitted but on closer inspection found the carpet on the top stair was loose and moved when walked on, it wasn't attached at all. I'm 68 yrs old and stayed at this property on my own I dread to think what could have happened if I'd slipped, but I didn't and thankfully I'm here to tell the tale. Don't get me wrong this is a little gem of a place and the views are amazing but it suffers from lack of care and attention and general upkeep it needs a complete makeover from top to bottom. I'd booked this as a special treat for myself and it was just so disappointing, I'm sorry the view doesn't justify the price paid for 2 nights stay.

It's a beautiful property but could do with a freshen up.

The location is stunning and the window and balcony onto the beach was stunning!

The directions to get there on the Google maps link here take you to the other side of the bay. There was only 1/2 a toilet roll provided and no washing up liquid. There’s nowhere in the near vicinity to buy these things so the fact that they aren’t provided isn’t great for the money that we paid to stay there. The place isn’t very clean either so it was a bit of a disappointment overall.

The location of this beautiful cottage couldn't be any better. The cottage was so comfortable and clean and Mark was really helpful when we needed help sorting out parking. An absolute gem, we hope to stay again soon.

Everything is forgiven for a view like that. Very central and comfy. A lovely home from home. Comfy beds. Decent size towels. I would have stayed forever if I could and if it had parking lol.

Minor things could improve things. Toilet seat was loose. Couple of cushions are frayed/torn and there was no welcome basket just a few satchets of coffee and tea. I believe 4 of each for a 3 night stay for 2 people. Maybe a few beach towels would have been a great addition. Little things can make all the difference. But as I say for a view like that.... most things are forgiven lol.

Property wasn't clean when we arrived. The problem was dealt with by the owners and the cleaner arrived at 18:00.

View and location Lounge & furnishings nice

No instruction on using hob or oven Battery on fire alarm bleeping on arrival. No bags for rubbish or fish cloth and sponge for washing up. Could not empty rubbish as didn't know bin location.
