Lavender Cottage, Grade 2 Listed Period Stone Built Cottage In Pickering, North Yorkshire

The property was well situated and provided everything we needed.The hosts were very good at communicating and instructions were clear and easy to find in the information booklet left. Our only criticism was the trees in the back garden needed cutting back to allow more light in as would have liked to take better advantage of the beautiful outdoor area available to us especially as the weather was beautiful on our visit.

Lovely little cottage very close to town centre

The cottage was very well equipped and very clean. Everything worked and the layout and equipment were really well thought-out. It was ideal in terms of location. A very good base for touring the North York Moors and surrounding coast and countryside. Ideal also for dog owners with a secure garden.

Whilst on-street parking was plentiful and free it did require crossing a busy road

Bright. Cozy. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The fire in the lounge was lovely in the evenings

Not much to dislike. The stairs were a little narrow and steep for me but I am a bigger lady.

Cottage is well located and an easy walk in to Pickering town centre. There are also a few smaller convenience stores very close buy if you need anything as well as a couple of take aways. Living room was spacious and there is a well equipped kitchen. Was also good having an enclosed garden for the dog which has had some good garden chairs for sitting out when the weather is a little better

Very central for the North Yorkshire area. Walking distance from shops/pubs/restaurants in Pickering. Well equipped and comfortable. Clean. Nice welcome touches (treats for the dog!). Very helpful hosts. Dog friendly.

Property on very busy road with parking only on the opposite side. it’s an old cottage so low ceilings and a narrow steep staircase. Didn’t bother me but tall husband whacked his head several times before remembering to duck!
