It's fantastic view from the little terrace. It's a cave! The owner was superb.

It's a cave! Has to be kept ventilated to avoid damp or condensation. Must be amazingly cool in the height of summer though.

"Ideal place to stay with a great view"

It’s a well equipped apartment built into the rock hillside. There is a small balcony with a great view over the town to the cathedral. Like most of Matera’ historic centre it is not car friendly so you get free underground parking which is less than a 10 minute walk away. The owner is easy to contact by WhatsApp and is extremely helpful. You are next to the central square, yet the location is very quiet. While you can make your own breakfast, you are supplied with vouchers to get coffee and a pastry from one of three cafes nearby. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Great location on edge of the old town in spacious apartment. Luciano waited for us at the car park and gave us loads of information. Balcony had a wonderful view of the sassi . With the free parking and breakfast at a nearby cafe, this is a fantastic choice if you are visiting Matera

Wow, It is extremely great place to visit Matera - I think there is no other apartment in Matera in such a good localisation including parking place and breakfast in coffe shops:-). Apartment is partially located inside old cave so that you can feel like the real Matera's citizen. The owner very helpful, staying in touch and open hearted. And this view... breathtaking view of an Old town. every mornig we checked if this view is still behind the balcony:-)

"Superb cave house with excellent facilities"

Fantastic location, comfortable, helpful friendly hosts and the little extras - shaving foam,razor in addition to shampoo etc, breakfast vouchers could use in a choice of 3 bars. Great view and 5 min walking from car park.
