"Roomy cottage with birds all around"

Beautiful cottage with birds all around. Ate dinner and breakfast on the porch watching birds. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Roomy and great for an extended stay.

"A perfect pampered retreat."

I can’t praise this place enough! Amazing location - in the owner’s garden but perfectly private. The cottage itself was spacious, clean and super comfy, but there were so many lovely touches including a table and chairs on the deck outside with blankets for the chill; a barista style coffee-maker; comfy chairs and table in the bedroom; hot water bottles; lovely soft towels; a welcome pack of sweets, milk, coffee, sugar, cheese and biscuits; a bird feeding station by the deck, at which we watched Tui, blackbirds and sparrows during our stay with a pair of binoculars provided. It was such a relaxing atmosphere and a perfect chill break after three weeks of travelling.

Loved the outdoor area & watching the birds. The house was spacious & everything was of a high standard. Lovely chatty hosts, even gave us eggs from the chickens & a gift of cheese & biscuits.

It was very nicely appointed and comfortable. It was spacious and peaceful. Thoughtful touches everywhere eg binoculars to observe the birds.

It took awhile to confidently find the turn-off to the driveway. The pictures sent prior to arriving did help.

"It was our best stay during our trip around NZ"

A beautiful spot surrounded by forest and birds that visited the cottage from early morning. Susan and Gavin are very hospitable and kind people. Fresh chicken eggs for breakfast from Susan were delicious! The cottage has everything you need and is beautifully furnished. If you want to feel at home while traveling, this is the place. Thank you.
