Birdsong is magical - the setting is idyllic with its native bush and the birds flitting around everywhere, I would live in the gorgeous cottage in a heartbeat. Thankyou Gavin and Susan 🫶

If you like tui, you'll love this property. Loved that there was a little stove and pan to whip up some eggs in the morning. Heater, hot water bottles, comfy bed, courteous hosts who gave us privacy. A delight in winter.

"Peaceful & tranquil retreat"

Location in beautiful garden with amazing birdlife. The cottage was tastefully furnished with lots of charming touches. Kitchen fully equipped with all you would need. Large bathroom, great shower. Gavin & Susan were very friendly hosts. They have put thought & care into building an enviroment to appreciate the NewZealand bush & local birdlife. Gavins photography gallery a lovely extra really enjoyed. A real gem.

"A too short stay in lovely cottage in a tranquil setting."

It was spacious, warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable with flannel sheets. Shower had great pressure. All amenities were thought of. Fresh flowers. The setting with the Tuis appearing on a bird feeder beside the deck was lovely. I wished we had stayed longer. Very tranquil.

We couldn’t find anything to fault.

"An exceptional getaway"

Everything about Birdsong Cottage was perfect and it's been so lovingly put together. Its a fabulous quiet getaway Nothing needs to change. Its an exceptional place to stay. We will be back sure
