Historic Grade 2 listed Cottage with Parking

Location was convenient. Parking was convenient. Bathroom ok. Reasonable price.

It was 10 degrees in the house on arrival. Took 2 days to warm through. Beds squeaked as not put together well. Sofa bed in lounge uncomfortable. Carpets picked up hairs, needed a better vacuum. Had to move bed, not been cleaned for a while underneath. Dirty tea towel left for use.

Beautiful cottage full of character close to all amenities.A stones throw from the local supermarket and outside launderette. space to park your car. Everything was lovely.We come to Rye often as it's our favourite place and.would definitely stay again 🥰

The location and generous size for a two bed property. It was also very clean (one of the cleanest I have ever booked) and the heating is excellent. Parking also a real bonus.

The beds, mattresses thin and uncomfortable. I would suggest investing in new ones as otherwise the property is great. We also had to switch the boiler on, not a big issue but it would be nice if this was done before arrival, particularly in winter.

It's an attractive character property with lots of space and a well-appointed kitchen. The parking is totally private behind the house which is great. The location is second to none - less than 5 minutes to walk to Rye High Street and right next door to Jempson's supermarket.

The house was bone-chillingly cold when we arrived and it took the entire evening to warm it up to a tolerable temperature. We spent the first evening sitting in our coats wrapped in a bed quilt. It was disappointing that the host didn't arrange for the heating to be switched on a few hours in advance. One of the smoke detectors emitted an irritating chirp every two minutes, meaning that it needed a new battery - this was quite intolerable. The sitting room sofa is one of the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on, the seat is too shallow and the back is hard and unyielding. There were no tea towels provided in the kitchen. It's claimed the TV is internet enabled and you can stream Netflix etc, but it didn't work when we tried it, the wifi isn't strong enough to reach the sitting room from the kitchen. For some reason the window curtains have been sewn together at the top which means you can't open them properly.

Location was good for access to town and amenities. Great to have a parking space. Easy to access property.

Cottage very cold when we arrived, especially the sitting room. Cottage took a long time to heat up. Bath mat not clean. Would have been useful to have some sort of towel/t-towel in the kitchen.
