Guesthouse Okagesan

The room is an antique Japanese room with renovation. Really awesome with all traditional decorations. Very comforatble and impressive. The host is nice and explain how to use the device in the house. He opens a BBQ chicken restaurant nearby, you need to go there to get the key. Food in restaurant is also awesome! Really relaxing place. But becareful when you arrive after 6pm as the part of the way to the house is really dark without street light. Better prepare torch.

A charming home which preserves the traditional essence of an old Japanese house while adapting to the needs of modern lifestyle. It has the heating solutions to keep us warm and cozy on a peaceful winter’s night. And we love the village! Really wish we could stay longer. One of the best memories of our trip.

The hallway to the bathroom had an opening which was only covered with a curtain. A little upgrade would be great. That part of the house was not heated but didn’t affect us so much.

we were fortunate to have the whole house to ourselves and really love the place it was good to have the heavy plastic sheets to block the cold and tatami floors were great to sleep on very well-furnished traditional country house with modern amenities, we look forward to a return visit Manabu-san was a great host, and we enjoyed yakitori at his restaurant

not much but the location could be tricky to find especially when it gets dark getting to the onsen was easy in the daytime although it was a short walk

House is excelent. We always wanted to stay in a place that captures the traditional japanese sentiment, and it delivered. Also the owner really went out of his way to make us feel confortable and welcome. The beds were great! I cannot recommend it highly enough.
