Couldn’t access the garden

Great traditional Kyoto house for thoese wanting to experience something different to the standard Japanese Hotels.

I had a bit of a mix up with this property to do with suitability for my older parents. But the staff could not have been more helpful and I was very happy with the resolution that was offered.

The house was very spacious and absolutely gorgeous. I really liked the rock garden outback, the beautiful shower with the heated floors and having a traditional tatami matt floor in a bedroom all to my self.

The property is very centralized in Kyoto making it a bit of a distance to any real scenic areas. It was no problem to me as I enjoyed the walking.

Traditional Japanese style that is visually pleasing with modern bathroom, kitchenette and private onsen in a semi outdoor setting. Attractive garden to spend time in.

Extremely bright exit warning lights that cause awakening brightness in the bedrooms at night because of the paper walls. Lack of privacy between bedrooms because of paper walls.

The location was good, it's close to the train line and downtown Kyoto was about a 15 walk away. The area was clean and quiet and had lots of little traditional houses. The house was very spacious and cozy at the same time. Good cooking facilities for simple meals or toast.
