"Lovely relaxing break"

10.0

Lovely cottage, which was very clean and well presented inside. Nicely surprised with welcome pack of cakes, biscuits, milk, fresh orange juice, and especially the bottle of beer and small bottle of Prosecco which went down exceptionally well. Dog bowl, biscuits and doggy towel provided. Although we didn’t use them there is a Dishwasher and washing machine including detergent for them. The bed was very comfortable and the main bedroom is of a good size with nice bedroom furniture. Electric shower with the toiletries provided in a decent sized bathroom. Nice and quiet location. Small garden which I would envisage is lovely to sit in during the nicer months. Pub just down the road which is literally less than five minutes away. Food was good especially the beef and horseradish baguette. It gets exceptionally busy in the summer months so booking a table is advised. Oakham is very easy to get to and apart from the usual small shops there is a Aldi, Lidl and a Tesco. There are some quaint shops within the town particularly off the Main Street.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"A comfortable, surprisingly spacious small cottage which I thoroughly recommend."

10.0

Although a small cottage, it felt very spacious with a sizeable kitchen area. It was extremely comfortable and in a quiet area. It is situated close to Rutland Water which is a 'must see' for visitors to the area and although car parking was on the road, that was never a problem. The heating system was easy to adjust, which is seldom the case in rental properties, and this was a big bonus. There was a secure lawned garden, ideal for those staying in the warmer months, and for dog owners.

Absolutely nothing.

"Very welcoming, all the facilities, very comfy, and lovely location"

9.0

Lovely village location, dog friendly pub in easy walking distance, parking no problem. Lovely walks around Rutland Water without the need to drive anywhere. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. There was a sign at the door and a lovely welcome pack. There was a nice garden for the dog to explore first thing in the morning, so we could have a lie in. The facilities were great, nice and warm, all very clean, comfy, and very dog friendly. Our stay was just too short, we will have to come back again.

"An amazing cosy little cottage!"

8.0

The property was so clean and spacious. It was such a gorgeous place to be when visiting family. The hosts had great communication and inside the house was very pet friendly which was lovely. The owners really have thought of everything and the board games were a great addition!

Our only negative we found is the property is advertised as a secure garden. But we didn’t realise it was a shared access back garden so we had to rely on neighbours closing the gate. There was quite a few occasions it was left open causing us to check each time. This is the only thing we can fault but it is good to know for future people with dogs visiting
