Comfortable and cosy, very clean and extremely well equipped, really nicely decorated and furnished. Beautiful, peaceful location.

Just a couple of things would improve the experience, we used the washing machine but couldn’t tumble dry some items so a clothes airer would be really handy. Also there was no hairdryer provided and as we were travelling by motorbike we hadn’t managed to fit one in.

"Lovely central Rothbury cottage"

It is a lovely cosy converted cottage with excellent modern furnishings. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Nothing not to like, just to be aware the roof space in the mezzanine level, by its very nature is low - not a problem for me at 5 feet!

"Absolutely brilliant"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - perfect, quiet hidaway for 2 busy retirees (how did we find time to work). The bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent sleep. Rothbury is a friendly place and we enjoyed a very nice Friday evening at he Turk's Head Pub. We visited Cragside too - very impressive! We would definitely like come back for another visit, please. We had a pleasant walk down by the River Coquet. Chater Cottage is so well appointed, which we really appreciated.

The whole stay was superb, and we feel totally refreshed now! There was NOTHING we didn't like!

Great location for village, Cragside, walks and bus. Good size for a couple. Cozy, relaxing, quiet.

Had trouble with the wifi. Moved the gateway to the window helped.
