Beautiful Grade II Listed Gatehouse in Great Location

We had such a lovely stay at the gatehouse. The location was perfect for exploring Sheffield and was a very short walk to Eccleshall Road that had several bars, eateries and shops. Despite being so close to all of this it was extremely quiet and cosy. The interior is in fitting with the location but all very comfortable. There is a large amount of sockets available and the kitchen had all that is needed. The parking was easy enough to understand and was plenty of spaces. Would highly recommend and we will definitely stay again - it was so much more relaxed having a full cottage than just a hotel room. It really made our trip even better!

Parking was very tricky, no spaces near by on any day I was there, I left the car several streets down. But i could stop outside to off load & load up.

Very nice cottage in a quiet location. Comfortable and good sized accomodation. Nicely furnished and a little quirky. Period features but modern comforts.

Koude douche en geen verwarming. De CV was uitgevallen maar gelukkig werd het probleem snel verholpen door de eigenaar. Wél donker.

Beautifully traditional hideaway in sheffield, the cemetery is a huge green space hidden within the city, and the botanical gardens are over the road. A true gem of a spot. Parking is tight, but ok once you figure the road lay out and where you can park. 10 / 10 for being unique and in keeping to its history. wifi and underfloor heating were perfect and everything is on the main road from food to nightlife while kept quietly away Clear instructions from the booking to the leaving day, could not of asked for anything more.

Beautiful building, beautiful interior, beautiful setting. A real treat. Would be back in a flash!

I love the Lodge but, as I mentioned to one of your team, the bathroom needs attention. There is a strong smell of damp and the carpet is marked. I suspect this is due to problems with the shower. The shower tray seems to be unsupported and “wobbly’ in the centre and immediately fills to overflowing when you turn the shower on. I had to have a very quick shower to make sure I didn’t flood the room. The knob to turn on the water is extremely stiff - I struggled with it and I weight train twice a week! All in all it really lets down what is a lovely place to stay and one I hope to return to

Wow, what an amazing place! So beautiful and in keeping with its heritage. Bigger than expected and very comfortable. A perfect location in a beautiful setting! Loved the small outdoor seating area and had some wonderful walks around the fascinating cemetery. Definitely hope to return soon.
