Bakery Cottage - Lake District

Location was good

Cleanliness extremely poor dirty work tops and mouldy pizza in the oven from previous tenants, oven trays were also greasy and had to wash a number of pots before using. Windows straight onto road so lacks privacy, parking space was tight larger cars would struggle. Basic instructions to work the tv would have been useful. Access to dustbins would have been useful had to keep rubbish in kitchen as no where to put it.

Location was great

Cottage was filthy, was blood on the bed cover my mum was staying in, the rug had all sorts of stains on it, the couch had paint all over it

Perfect central location Nothing to dislike

The beds were comfortable and the downstairs was spacious enough.

Some of the crockery and the cups were unclean with food stains and heavy tea stains in cups. The plastic beakers for the children to drink from had mould in the bottom of them. The oven had food crumbs at the bottom. When we lifted the worktop saver to clean, the lining of the back of it was stuck to the worktop and quite difficult to clean off. The worktop was full of crumbs under the toaster. There was holes in one of the guest towels and there was a dirty cream towel that seemed to have been left by previous guests. There were cobwebs on the lounge wall. No light bulb in the single bed front bedroom. We found the property too warm when we were in bed at night, without the heating on.

Cottage was neat and tidy , 3 good size bedrooms. Great location 5 minutes walk into the village

No much other than the odd squeaky floor

Great location, short walk to center. lovely decoration, would definitely stay again

No hand soap in bathrooms and wardrobe doors locked. No where to hang clothes in bedrooms

everything about this place was disgusting and dirty. it had not been cleaned, everything was full of dust, there were blood stains in the bathroom, as well as faeces around the toilet, missing light bulbs, half used toilet roll, ripped bedding. toast still in the toaster from previous guests, spilt milk in the fridge, dirty microwave, and filthy worktops. The owners take no responsibility/urgency regarding any issues, and even when sent over 30 pictures, was in denial.
