This Casa is simple but really nice, and it’s run by an amazing family that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. We had an amazing Mexican breakfast every morning, got lots of great tips and recommendations from Juan, and even did a really cool weaving workshop with Juan and Ana.

Very special experience living with a local family! We even went to the market together and had long chats with the grandma about anything!

Everything was great! Just know that the accommodation is pretty simple. You come here for the local experience, not for a 5 star hotel.

If you're looking for a truly authentic experience – this is the place for you. The room is located in the family’s courtyard, where you’ll smell the fire used by the mother to make tortillas, hear the sound of the loom throughout the day, and be surrounded by Mexican music and the calls of roosters – this will be the soundtrack of your vacation. You’ll also get to see the stunning rugs being woven right before your eyes. The family is especially warm and lovely. The house is just a short walk uphill from the village center. The village is beautiful, peaceful, and safe. Highly recommended: climb Picacho mountain, explore the area by walking, and Tlacolula market on Sunday.

The facilities (room, bathroom, toilet) are very basic.
