Wonderful hosts and location was perfect.We went back to our room to change before going back out again for the night so it was close very safe and convenient. Self park lot less then 5 minute walk to property. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

I'm afraid this wasn't a very successful booking and I left after one night despite having booked for three at a high price because of a local festival. I found it all very uncomfortable and managed to find a room for the remaining two nights at the Ospitalita San Tomaso d'Aquino where I had stayed before which was much pleasanter and much better value for money.

I came a bit late as the taxi driver found it a bit difficult to locate given the festival and the welcome I received was pretty nondescript - a lack of English didn't help and I don't speak Italian. The room was very disappointing - there is a picture of this single room on the website but with subdued lighting which makes it look much better. The other double rooms look warmer and more inviting. The walls were a bit grubby in places and the floor was cold tiles with no rugs. The bathroom was OK but the complimentary shampoo etc. mentioned were bottles to share in the shower - not a problem for me but I'm not sure why this was mentioned as not really accurate. I asked to use a kettle and was told 'this isn't a bed & breakfast' even though it's described as such on the website. There seems to be considerable confusion about this as breakfast is listed in the facilities and several reviews mentioned a breakfast room open all day - when I mentioned this I was told I hadn't read my booking details properly. When I was leaving I saw a small notice at the entrance saying that breakfast wasn't being provided this month so I presume I wasn't the only one who was confused. I think this should be made clearer on the website given what's mentioned in the reviews At 470 Euros this accomodation struck me as exorbitantly priced - the justification was the weekend festival, but when I moved to the Ospitalita down the road they charged me around 170 Euros for a two night stay with breakfast included and starting on the Sunday which was still a festival day. As you will see from my records I've stayed in quite a few Booking.Com places and up to now always been at least satisfied and often very pleased. I've stayed in three other places in Bologna which were all good with very pleasant staff - I have elderly friends who I try and visit quite regularly.

The location was perfect as the center was only a 15 minute walk away and the host were so welcoming, the breakfast was very good and there was access to hot drinks during the day

The property is superbly run by Imma and Roberto. They go out of their way to ensure your comfort and to help in any way they can. Although Imma only has a little English, the warmth of her welcome and lightening fast use of translation apps means there is never a problem. The building is within an easy and picturesque walk to Piazza Maggiore. There are several good restaurants and cafes literally on your doorstep. We took a taxi from the room to the airport and it averaged €22.
