I stayed 2 nights in this Beautiful homestay. I love the decorations, very old and vintage. The location is good, 10 mins walking to jonker street. And The restaurant downstairs serves very good Chinese food. Highly recommend to stay in malacca

Everything was fantastic except that the government health authorities ( 2 Malay guys) in Malacca made a surprise visit during my breakfast (by surprisingly walking in from the back kitchen) and insisted that there were mosquito larvae in the potted plants which ended up with the owner paying corruption money (RM50) to the health authorities. Being Malaysian and having seen this bigotry with 1MDB, when will this sickness ever end? I pitied the owner Colin as the 2 health officers could have planted the larvae by pouring it into the potted plant without anyone noticing to get corruption money. Like to make this known that there were no mosquitoes at all in this vicinity during my entire stay.

These 2 Malay government health officers made their way into Colin's Place just to get corruption money. If there is wrong we must stand up for justice to the downtrodden. This is the Christian way.

Very clean and comfortable. The host was also extremely kind and helpful letting us shower before our night bus.

Has its own uniqueness, i like the design that looks classic with traditional values

The room was not cleaned properly, under the bed got thick dust, the shower also got mould, toilet bowl didn’t seem to have been cleaned, has dirt. The wardrobe also got items that seemed don’t belong to the room
